Szép táj, le nyügőzö. Korábban Szerencs mellett éltem, de vonattal ha haza utazunk, itt haladunk el.

Thank You for the tour! My maternal grandfather and great grandfather Farkas are from Tizaluc and both were baptized by the First Hungarian Reformed Church there! They came to the US in 1909. I wish I could understand Hungarian. :(

Lajos Gyimesi Maybe English translation soon? BTW...is there a library or someplace in town with genealogy records on families in the 1870's?

Borbala Equestrian Sorry, I was so busy the past few months. I moved to another town and totally forgot the translation. I'll update the video as soon as possible! If your ancestors were reformed, I can help you, because I have some copies of documents from 1750 till 1895. By the way, Budapest is the only place where you can find all the documents. They're at the National Archives of Hungary. Here are some sites where you can make researches by yourself: duna.natarch.hu/fondx/aker.html familysearch.org/search/record/results?count=20&query=%2Bsurname%3Alovas~%20%2Bbirth_place%3Atiszal%C3%BAc~ www.hungaryexchange.com/ If you have Facebook, you could join our Facebook Group. It's name is "Tiszaluc a multban" (Tiszaluc in the past). The members of it share old photos of Tiszalúc and their families. Link: facebook.com/groups/251693335012116/

***** No...Sandor Farkas. I have a christening document showing a Julianna Farkas listed as mother...but no father listed for him! I believe it is him because it was 4 days after his birth in 1876. If it is him, he had a younger brother named Mihaly born a few years later and again no father listed! On his death certificate they had a Sandor Farkas Sr. listed as his father. Later, Jr. married an Agnes Szabo from Vamospercs and had my grandfather, Sandor Farkas (the third?), in 1903
