Rogue for quality Titan for affordability I'd pick Titan, then use the extra $$ for other workout shit lol. I like the wobbly comparison at 5:20. Is it pretty solid in comparison with the Rogue rack without the uneven plate holder attachment? Since that plate holder attachment is the reason why it's wobbling right?

@BasementBrandon6 жыл бұрын
Wasn't discussed b/c the review was for the rack itself and not for the attachments. I did a separate review on the monolifts. What questions did you have?
@SetTheCurve6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the reply. In the other video you implied the monolift forced you into a position you didn't like in the skinnier X3. What I'm most curious about is if you've ever had any issues with the short style rack (like being able to attach things high enough, or risking hitting your head, or anything you miss out on by having the short rack version)

Hey Brandon, if you still peruse old videos, here's a quick Q: I'm 6'5"= will this rack be too short for me? I see the top of the upright is 82" but the pull-up bar is only 76 inches, and the top j-hook hole looks to be a bit lower so I am wondering how close you are to maxing it out

I don't think so, but it depends. I'm a shade under 6'4" and still had 3 more holes I could have used to raise the j-cup, but I squat low bar, so if you're a high bar squatter it may be close.

I noticed at about 2:35 in the video, for squats your j hooks are on the opposite sides of the rack as the extension. I am assuming this is because the weights on the bar and the weights on rack would collide when racking the bar. So what would you do to bench? Is "forward racking" a bench a thing? Or would you bench with feet towards the wall? I guess another solution would be to rotate the order so it would be wall-rack-extension as opposed to wall-extension-rack. That would allow bench and squat from j hook on opposite side of extension, but isnt as aesthetically pleasing as weights up against the wall. Just wondering if you have any insight on these or other solutions to this issue...Thanks for your time!
@BasementBrandon6 жыл бұрын
In this case I benched with my feet towards the wall. Another solution would be to move the plate storage pegs to spots that wouldn't interfere with a back rack.

What is the real difference between the X.3 and the T3 aside from it being 3 x 3 steel uprights vs 2x2? Are the T3 accessories compatible to the X.3? I’m looking to purchase one of the racks but want to get some more info first
@BasementBrandon5 жыл бұрын
3x3 bs 2x2 is pretty different. Accessories would not be able to be interchangeable bc of this.

Hey, I'm considering buying a Titan X-3 rack for my garage. I can't decide on which height to get, 90 or the shorty 80. My ceiling is 98 inches high (8'2"). My reservation is with pull-ups and if I'll have enough room with the 90in rack. Which one would you recommend?

Can any updates be added to your review at this point? Looking at Titan's X-3 rack and it seems hard to beat....
@BasementBrandon6 жыл бұрын
I've since parted ways with the rack. Not b/c of any issue but more b/c I just don't need two racks for myself. I think it's a good option for sure, the biggest downfalls with Titan are the limited stock they seem to have, the hit or miss quality of welds/finish, and finally the delivery being awful in conjunction with FedEx. The bright-side is if you do get a rack with issues Titan will usually work with you to rectify the problem, just might take some time.
@GFD4726 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response. Your channel is a big help when sorting out gym equipment. With respect to the sloppy welds on Titan racks..... I can stand the aesthetic being less than perfect but the the real issue imho is if the welds are solid and the rack can stand up to use & abuse like heavy rack pulls etc? I have not found issues with welds failing just not looking 'clean'.... Any thoughts??
@BasementBrandon6 жыл бұрын
So there have been 2 recent issues with Titan's J-cups failing and one more issue that's recently raised it's head when it comes to their safety straps. I still think they're a valid option when buying equipment if money is of a concern, but just understand what the negatives are.
@GFD4726 жыл бұрын
I ended up ordering a Titan X-3 short power rack with 36" depth and I am very happy with the purchase. The powder coat looks very good and was uniform throughout. The welds have certainly improved from what I have seen in the past. I did grab a set of the the sandwich J hooks as an upgrade. Titan's ordering & shipping process was great from my perspective. Everything was in good shape upon arrival with no signs of damage to the boxes or rack. Turn around time was very fast as well. I place the order Tuesday the 2nd at 9:45 pm and Titan had it was in my driveway Thursday the 5th at 1pm! That was fast!!! I was expecting a solid week at the least to take delivery. For just $533.00 I am very happy in all respects. Thanks again for your review of the X-3..!

@JamesKeeton17 жыл бұрын
That would be a good idea. It was a large selling point for me since I have the Y-1 Rogue Yoke with attachments. I like that the Titan Mono attachment works with my Rogue Yoke and that the Rogue J-cups and Rogue spotter arms work with my T-6. It's actually one of the reasons I bought the rack and upgraded form my EliteFTS 2x2 rack. Also mine is painted, I guess the new ones have the powder coat. I actually like that it's painted due to the ease of spray paint repairs.... My EliteFTS rack had a shit powder coat job that flaked and I ended up taking 4 hours one day to wire wheel it all off and paint it.

The official site has the short rack as 82 inches, so I assume they increased the height of it after this video was posted. I have a limit of 84 inches in the space I have. With the multi grip pull up bar, how tall would it be? The site says the attachment point would be 77 inches, plus 6.5inches. So it’d be 83.5. Does anyone know if this is correct?
