On the two Giovanola coasters Titan and Goliath, if you're in the back seat you'll get a pop of air going over the 255ft drop. The only other time you really experience air time is when you go over the air time hill (3rd hill). These coasters are more about high G-force then anything else.

@SHlTTER that clicking sound on all lift hills is a roll back lock that prevents the ride from going backwards, Its shaped like teeth that a lock on the coaster catches in only the reverse direction. You will never roll backwards to a station. The beauties of fail safes.

@kieranhayag91078 жыл бұрын
BoredAF This ride isn't that intense actually. The only part that gets to some people is the final helix. The G's are insane, but other than that, it's a pretty fun coaster.
@otismcgurk11865 жыл бұрын
Did you ever ride it?
@RikestRik429 жыл бұрын
Titan is 10 feet taller than Goliath but the drop height on both is identical at 255' as is the top speed at 85 MPH. Other than that, their layout is identical. The only deciding factor that may put Goliath on top (since I have only ridden Titan) is if SFMM doesn't slow the trains as much as SFOT does in the MCBR. Having a bit more speed during the downhill double helix would add alot of intensity due to the already significant positive G loading during that element.
@optimus630013 жыл бұрын
That's looks and sounds like one heck of a ride. BUT the midway stop. I think that's just a little too much. Is it for taking pictures, getting a coffee ? is that a water mist for the brakes at the end of the ride to cool it off ? HD at 1080 is real fuzzy.

@optimus6300 I had the same thought about that stop in the middle. I thought it was going to get stuck. xD As for the fuzziness, it's more that the camera looks like its shutter was open more than it should have been so it's depth of field is pretty off for a ride like this. (Notice that the area near the camera is in focus but the rest is 'fuzzy.' Tends to happen with high aperture numbers.)
@ThePirateprincess2311 жыл бұрын
@Isobel Shearer there isn't too much of a difference. Titan is 10 feet taller (245 ft vs. Goliath's height at 235 ft) and has a double helix, and Goliath has a single helix and is more compact.

why this one does a complete stop on the half course brakes and goliath at sfmm doesnt?
@Chunkyshoes8 жыл бұрын
Riders have blacked out on the ride. The gforces are about 4 Gs. So the ride stops to let the blood rush back to your head. You're also not aloud to re-ride it immediately. You're supposed to wait before you go on again. The drop is about 250 feet, max speed 85mph.

Brake run? That's part of the ride I've rode it alot
@austingalletti71159 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's part of it. It wasn't a malfunction. When Titan was originally introduced to Six Flags Over Texas, the Mid-Corse Break Run (MCBRs as us Coaster enthusiasts call them) barely slowed the trains down. People eventually complained of getting black-outs on the second part of the ride, so Six Flags made the break run slow the trains down. If you're sitting on the front row, left seat, then you'll experience some intense lateral hang-time, and that's always a blast! (Especially watching new riders experience it)
@yugiohguy9 жыл бұрын
austing2014 I'm pretty sure if the mcbr barely slowed the train down, it would break your spine due to positive g force
@austingalletti71159 жыл бұрын
I just got back from Six Flags today and was talking to an employee there who was working when Titan first opened. He said that when it first opened, the MCBR slowed the train down very little. He had ridden it when it first opened, and said it was a little more intense than it is now. So, no, it wouldn't break your spine because of the G-Forces, no, you wouldn't die, the G-Forces pulled without the major slow down, wouldn't be much worse than the double helix before the MCBR. Yes, it would be intense, yes, the G-Forces in the 2nd half of the ride would be a little greater, but nothing to hurt anyone.
