I give my Earth casters Ring of Flame and when I get to Egypt I find a DARK OBELISK and walk up to it so the ring is between my toon and the obelisk and just leave it all day while I go to work or leave it all night while I sleep. I come back and my character has gone up 2 or three levels. I recently got a character up to level 41 before I even finished with Egypt. That was about 11 levels from just leaving it running. Those glowing Phantasms pop up and they die in seconds while my health regen is so high that by the time the next group spawns my toon has been at full health for a few seconds.

there are also a couple of very interesting melee items for earth or storm melee-ish hybrids: Mithon-El (+2 all skills but more interestingly, 50% base weapon damage converted to elemental) and Hofud (50% base weap damage converted to elemental)

Hy, nice video. One question : what do you suggest for a character for style tank/ hardcore ? I tested a lot of char, but now I play "hardcore like". If I die, I delete the char and start again. Thx

defense/warfare is hard to go wrong with also, it's pretty much the strongest combo in the game

I know Stonebinder's Cuffs is a really hard habit to break but you are really missing out on trying a different equip combo so you can use Archmage Cuffs, they really change the game dramatically if you have a good roll (like -45% recharge, +100% cast speed, +45% attack speed on a single item!) this puts you within reasonable range of getting to -80% recharge with two or so other items, and lets you do stupid shit like: - having Rally's buff full time (the energy recovery gets multiplied by your int bonus and %energy recovery from items!) - shooting Fire Nova *every 3 seconds* - spamming Flame Surge, which has no cooldown, very much like a continuous fan (tremendous boss killer power)

I use Archmage's Cuffs when I am desperate for -Recharge. I've used them on I think Champion build before. Though I don't like making builds centered around -Recharge because then it makes the build too niche and inaccurate for the larger audience. Unless I expect them to get the same amount of -Recharge I am using which is an unreasonable expectation I feel.

@@AlmarWinfield okay but the same reasoning applies to building everything around stonebinder's cuffs
@AlmarWinfield

@@pz7510 My builds aren't centered around Stonebinder's Cuffs though, they aren't required to make the build work - they are just a piece of gear I am fond of and like to use. Recharge is a stat that typically fundamentally changes how the build is played -- like how you pointed out. It allows you to literally spam some skills that you wouldn't be able to spam without it. If you design a build around gear like that then the build can not function the same without the gear used in the guide. It's kind of the same with builds centered around Reflection gear. I consider builds like that to be very niche and not useful to the general audience. This is also the same reason I try to pick items in my builds/videos that are easily obtained from the Gadir Orb Merchant instead of super niche Monster Infrequents/rare drops. My goal is to make builds that are easily accessible for everyone rather than specialized niche builds

Yow man. A question btw, how does reflect work? Does it deal pre mitigated (reflect damage before armor reduces damage) or post mitigated (after reduced by defense and %< reduction)?

I'd recommend Clex Plays videos for that. He is one of the only sources of mathematical knowledge of how things work online that I am familiar with. I typically go to his videos on KZbin for information like this. My guess is it would be post mitigation damage but IDK
