Did you use the 1200mm? Seeing link takes me to that... could you have fit the 140mm fans??

I wish I could confirm the size. I measured originally and it was a perfect fit.

hi Fridge performance will improve if Fans are instaalled to achieve maxium air flow over cooling elements . Ammonia fridges cool them selves by rising heat over the crucial components . Upper fridge coil/ condenser is sealed as good as possible to prevent bypass air flow . Either foam or sheetmetal . NEXT 1/ bypass and 2/recirculated hot air is caused by not sealing heat chimney is not sealed to fans . THIS makes ALL rising air pass thru fans . IE the fans willsuck 100% air from condenser . ******The other issue is the rising heat over the absorber tank , install a fan either above or below this .

Thank you Paul, this is a really big tip. I appreciate the detail. I hope this will also benefit someone needing help with this style fridge.

@@RVKevin Spreading the Knowledge . Doing all the small things helps with hot weather performance . The more likely the fridge will perform under extremes .

Dometic specify ducting and airflow baffles in installation guide . 95% of 3 way fridge 12vdc / gas /ac 120 are not installed to the best standard and suffer performance issues as a result .

Nice video. I did a similar install except I installed mine on top of the bug guard under the vent cap at roof level. My testing in hot temps right now is showing an increase in fridge temp by 5° or more when I turn the fans on. Seems crazy. I’m wondering if it’s actually pulling fresh air from around the fans when it’s on instead of pulling warm air out of the cavity. Seems crazy but I don’t know what else would cause this. I have verified that the fans are blowing out. Any ideas? I’m tempted to redo it and install the fan lower in the cavity but I’m not sure.

Josh, I had thought of just installing as you did but decided on the harder install, for sure more of a pain. However, those fans make a BIG difference cooling that compartment down. I should make a followup video. The only thing I don't like about the fan system, is that it makes a crazy amount of electrical interference for my ham radio when it is on. I hope the fan last for many more years.

@@RVKevin so are you saying you think installing the fans lower in the cavity has better cooling performance?

Josh, I haven't done any scientific tests, I can only report in how well and how fast the Temps drop.

Does the fan blow air into the refigerator space, or exaust it away and up through the vent cap? Thanks
@RVKevin

Cj, it is an exhaust fan that pulls the air from below and out the top vent. It does an amazing job of cooling the outside compartment, thank you for watching 🤩

According to your info at 5000 hours they will last aprox 6 months. At 50,000 hours they would last over 5 years. Would be nice to know before buying.

Hard Truth, Great question ! Yes the email the company sent shows 5,0000 .. ( an extra zero in the wrong place.) Looking at the company website they have corrected the number to read 50,000 hrs 💪👍 Thanks for noticing and thanks for watching
