Man I love scorch. And the fact most think he is under powered they don't take him seriously. My favorite tactic is dumping canisters behind an enemy then walking them into it with flame shield. Most times they freak out and are not sure were to go. This gives you time to melt them and there buddies too. Burn baby burn

The key to Scorch is knowing when to go all in and when to bail like the French at the Maginot Line. If you see that the odds are in your favor, take the gamble. If you're fighting a Northstar out in an open field or a squad of pilots cheesing with thunderbolts from the rooftops, though, pull back into a better position. Also, when fighting pilots I have the tendency to shoot anywhere that I think a pilot might be hiding (prioritizing titans and reapers as necessary, obviously). If you just take a shot whenever you see somebody, eventually you'll learn to lead those shots like a doctor in physics. Hell, half the time when I go on rampages of air kills, I'm not expecting 90% of my shots to hit... until they make contact and I hear that sweet sound of the kill confirmation...

Scorch and Ronin combo cover their weaknesses except range and I think it is great (ronin can close and the gap on enemy’s and he can escape also he is great at fending off pilots while scorch is great at closing choke points and taking on multiple enemy titans

Wrong. Scorch has some decent range with the thermite launcher. It's all about knowing bullet drop and how high to aim to hit your target. Thus, you can hit enemies behind buildings

I used to main Scorch, but haven't put much time into him recently. Maybe it's time to revisit him... Also, one of your videos came up in my recommendations last night and I'm so glad it did. currently scorch has a laser were the thermite will go while aiming and the thermite shield completly blocks ur own fire damage btw

As a scorch main i can say that most of these are good tips for new players, but I recommend that if you are new and want to play scorch, use tempered plating for a bit, then switching to inferno shield when you are comfortable with his aoe range and where you should position, so to not take as much damage from your own attacks

this guide was very helpful because my friend always wrecks me with scorch and then when I don't have my titan he always uses that damn flame shield to block my anti titan weapons, but i do have my scorch up to um G3 almost G4

you overlook the fact that flame core can bypass doomed state titans, and although this seems mostly useless, keep in mind if you encounter a titan with 1 bar of hp left u can just flame core him and kill him instantly without chance of him ejecting.

At 2:58 you got thermite attached to your chassis. If it's attached to your front, you can use thermal shield and look down to melt it. (same with Ion)

Am I the only one who launches the incendiary traps into the rooms with the bank and then flaming them? I mean, you can literally make the floor lava and stop all enemy pilots from banking their cash! Also I really often use the flame wall into some rooms or entrances because it goes far into the building and locks enemy pilots inside

The duration of inferno shield, base damage numbers of the thermite launcher, and a number of perks have been altered. The recommendation to use inferno shield is a bit out of date too, as tempered plating seems to be the go to choice these days. - Ascendance

I was a tone main till they took his balls away. Now I'm scorch 100% of the time. He is an insane support and I average 60k to well over 100k damage every round. Who ever decided monarch should be in this game should be punched in the face tho. The most broken Titan in the game. A incredible monarch player will last an entire game with no deaths decimating his enemies. Cause shield regen and stealing cores for a final isn't cheap....oh wait... It totally is.

Tone is fine. The last change to tone was actually a buff to particle wall. It was bugged so that if you aimed at a titan standing behind the wall, it would be destroyed far quicker than it should've been by a hitscan weapon, pilot or titan. Scorch is the worst titan in the game, legion will be a far better support titan overall. He has more versatility due to his ability to alternate between a close range build and a long range one. And scorch has thermite inconsistencies where the thermite pools from his launcher doesn't stick the majority of the time. His defensive doesn't help him because any semi aware player will simply walk backwards. His firewall can simply be walked/dashed through whilst taking minimal damage, his canisters also only cover about a dash's worth of area, too easy to avoid. Monarch isn't too strong. A good monarch player can flourish only if the enemy team lets them go unchecked, same goes for a northstar. If you ignore the threat that those respective titans pose, you probably would've lost to other titan compositions anyway. You can't "steal cores." Monarch suffers for a multitude of different reasons. The most apparent one is her lack of a defensive ability. The other is that to deal any significant damage she needs maintained line of sight, making her suffer against legion, and partially against northstar. Next is playstyle, even with your first upgrade you'll be playing fairly passive 90% of the time due to you having no ability to instant punish someone that pushes you (power shot is an example of an instant punish) and if monarch spends too much time in the enemy line of sight, those four bars disappear faster than you can say arc rounds. If you see a monarch, they are a priority before they get too many of those upgrades As for scorch, scorch is countered by northstar, monarch, ion, tone. Ronin isn't a counter but the match up lies extremely in his favor due to higher mobility and reliable DPS delivery that doesn't require RNG to deal the right amount of damage.
