I think this is just the prelude to the Titanfall themed game modes/maps leaked a while ago for Apex Legends, that many people seemingly forgot about. We will probably get them next season given that Respawn is giving Titanfall some attention now. They probably want to have both games polished in case Titanfall gets some attention due to Apex.

Man, I remember picking up titanfall 2 at a dollarama store for 5 bucks, and I was bewildered at just how good the campaign was. Plus, while the multiplayer was kind of small, the few games I did play were such a blast. I’m so glad people are finally able to appreciate this gem, cause man, this game was done SO dirty.

Let's be real here, if doing an internship at Respawn was truly all it took to make changes like this, the thousands of diehard Titanfall fans would have gone with this route AGES ago.
