That teleport melee... I strongly dislike the melee system. I'm not a great player but I always try to avoid using melee during playing. Even when I clearly has the opportunity to kick or punch the enemy. And then there are times when I got kicked in the face several times during a match from 20 feets away. And that's really annoying.

At 09:35 I totally agree with Iniquity. Take Ronin as an example, it's powerful in close combat yet it does 0 damage above medium range combat. It can be really powerful but only in certain situations.

I loved the old ion I feel the difference between the laser shot is very noticeable I personally think the problem with ion is the shield you accidentally shoot for a little catches bullets one bar gone I have completely stopped playing ion and went to ronin and monarch.

Monarch is really good if you know how to use her. Using the reload ability at the right times is key to outgunning other titans. Once you pass the final upgrade, use the core to regain shield when it gets low.

The Volt has always been one of my weapons of choice, and honestly I thought they ruined it with the last update because the viewkick makes it less reliable at mid range. But I gave it a couple days and I'm in love with it again. Also for Monarch I tried out the Energy Transfer since I'm more of a passive Monarch player, and it's really fun helping out my team. It's a really good way to make some friends on the battlefield as well

You are right about that spawn. I was on the loosing side of a game of Ampted my team only earned 29 points because we were spawn trapped in there - it was impossible to get out and even when they came into the spawn we kept re-spawning there. It was a massacre. I loved the Volt and got it to 10 on the PS4 then moved back to Xbox and the Nerf came and I couldn't do a thing with it on that platform. Glad they made some improvements. I still think it is weak, especially compared to the other SMGs. Good review as usual.

And as far as the ridiculous reach with melee attacks, it is an issue within the binary code of the lock on, you will notice similar issues with running through large groups if you fire while running, the auto-lock is all over the place. It is in the games roots, alongside the physics binaries. It is something that baffles me that it was an issue to begin with, and even worse that it hasnt been corrected yet. While an update to correct a binary issue is difficult, it is possible and this isnt the first time ive heard or experienced issues with this game glitch. Now dont get me wrong, Titanfall 2 is by far one of my all time favorite games to date. I just feel that this issue has been overlooked for quite some time.

the biggest nerf to ion is the reduction in earning core from laser shot. It's gone from 15% per hit to 8% per hit. I'm finding it extremely difficult to earn my core without the use of overcore now.

I've been an ion main since the beginning of the game and I feel like while the nerf is noticeable it does not make ion complete trash. She definitely isn't the over powered monster she once was she is still a viable good option for a titan.

I am an ion main (or was before monarch) and i always found splitter rifle with refraction lense to be better agaisnt titans. I really only use laser shot to kill pilots. The nerf doesnt really affect me as i have good aim and am on pc so 9/10 times i hit my shot. The laser core nerf i felt was kind of undeserved as all you need to do is just go behind a wall

ive always been an ion main simply been my favorite since post beta. and i run mostly the intangeld energy kit. where crit damage to enemy units(all enemy units) refills my energy meter with each hit. thats kept me fireing back and dealing damage even when takeing a legion head on. that with turbo engine makes her fast and sexy. now beter in gold

While i like the VOLT, its an Energy SMG whats not to like about it, but the R-97 is still my favorite because of the BRRRRRRRRR and the suprisingly good hip aim, for Monarch i use the chaingun build, Arc rounds, XO-16 accelerator, Superior Chassis and its a blast

I feel like the laser core was kind of nerfed just a tad bit too much, I used to always use it when going up against a multiple titans or a titan with 100% health. Now instead of making the fight "fair" imo, I don't do as much damage to give me any advantage in a fight. Obviously there's more to it and when to use it, but that's just my two cents. The other thing I noticed when using Vortex Amplifier is the falloff distance when returning legion & monarch rounds back at them. I could swear it is hitscan because I would be able to hit legion back with his bullets at a fair distance, but now, the bullets I return just fall off. I don't know if this has happened to anyone else or has used ION enough to notice it, but if noticed I'd like to know if the vortex return is hitscan or considered time to travel.

I just figured it out with a buddy of mine. So apparently, if you are too far away, while you have the vortex up, if it doesn't show you have a yellow circle on your target(s), the output falls off so they receive no damage. But IT IS VERY INCONSISTENT with the distance between you as an ION and the enemy titan. So with this, it is pretty much you get in the enemy's face with their rounds in order to successfully get the hitscan if they don't have any cover, but you are risking yourself too much to the enemy. I don't know if Iniquity would like to try this out and make a discussion about it so Respawn is more aware of the inconsistency of the vortex at distances where it should hitscan the enemy titans.

all titans should get an extra bar of health. just so titan combat can feel a lot more intense. these titans should be able to soak up more dps. I feel it would make for great battles and allow ogre titans to do their job without worried of getting melted while trying to push.

Or you know, actually add the dmg reduction to Ogre titans? They posses extra armor, which is supposed to reduce the incoming dmg. Besides, Ogre weakspots are onoxious especially on Scorch and the extra HP bar they have is not really an excuse.

Legion takes time to fire, monarchs are just noobs who fire immediately. I think monarch is definitely over powered on pilots. Scorch- I have one fire ball, shield, and wall. Tone- 40m need decent aim Ronin- need up close for leadwall or to be near to slice enemy pilot legion- need to have minigun ready (maybe powershot) northstar- need god like aim for plasma rail or cluster missle ion- need laster shot monarch- "lol i'll just spray and pray at the pilots general direction"

The problems most "haters" have with Monarch is... the Queen is not just another Titan. She´s the new Her Highness on the battlefield, she needs care, foresight and a decent amount of tolerance towards her quirks. Our new Royal is fun to play with her kits, switching forth and back, adapting her to the new situation on the field. She is..like the Borg Queen. Adapt or die. Don´t just camp Arc Rounds, play with Missiles. Give shields. Spam Maelstrom. Giggle them with your Tank Chassis. (hopefully Respawn does never fix this 2 smokes on core bug, her Highness destroys Ronins in melee range)

GOLD ION IS AWESOME. I have to buy it. Still yet to buy Ronin Prime. It will happen. Monarch felt weak, but I just didn't even read what the buttons did so I didn't expect to do well. Done some okay things with Monarch so far. Got rekt too. You always said reapers were too strong. I never REALLY felt it until I fought them with Monarch.

I don't know why but i have been playing TF2 for about a week now and i was doing pretty mediocrely and getting average scores. And suddenly it just clicked and i was in a match of pilots v pilots and mopped the floor with everyone, 38 to 8 and the following attrition match a solid 26 kills and this was against gen 6 to 15 players. I don't know what happened but it felt so good, especially considering i'm only gen 2 nearly 3 right now.

MY OPINION I dont know why people are complaining about the different titans and how "you are getting paid to say monarch is a good titan" when playing titanfall (I love using Northstar and Ronin) you immeditaly come across 2 different people. People who know what they are doing and are skilled with the titan and people who play with a titan because they think it is better then an other. I believe that every single Titan can be SO good in the hands of the right pilot but yea ofcourse some need a buff or a nerf on some parts but then again they are really good on other parts. Like I love playing northstar but as soon as you get flanked you are done for, their is no way you can protect yourself from an attacking ronin and that may (or may not) need a buff and tbh i think that if the tether traps active imidiatly you have a decent enough buff where you can get out of sketchy situations but not that it becomes over powered. What are you thoughts on that? And yesterday it was the first time playing monarch for me and I must say sometimes i hate it, sometimes I love it and i think that if that is the case you know the titan is well balanced

Personally I don't see anything wrong with the melee system for pilots currently, titanfall is very fast paced and it makes complete sense to knock out another pilot with one punch or kick with that melee, and we can't really tell if that guy jumped a bit before he melee'd you.
