You need 1 wall, doesn't matter how long or tall just 1 wall to carrying HEAPS of momentum for a good amount of time and there are a couple maps on titanfall 2 that has very little wall coverage across the map. You don't even need walls at all actually, a tiny slope gives good momentum and distance. Titanfall 2 movement would have worked perfectly fine on the apex maps.

Look at Octane, he has to use a downgraded version of it and filtrate his own blood constantly to avoid dying from using his stims, and it stills damages his health.

i think the Titanfall grapple is actually a part of the jumpkit and not a wrist mounted device, but seeing Pathy's arm follow the grapple line feels so much better for judging how to curve the slingshot. human arms couldn't handle the loads of such a powerful retractable grappling hook, but perhaps they still could have made the pilot's arm follow the grapple line anyway

Tone down the movement and make it more shooter for the BR genre is pretty good. Though I find the knockdown shield to be quite terrible since what you see is not what’s in game, you can try to turn and match the enemy’s movement to block their bullets but you still end up dying most of the time ‘cause your character don’t actually turn as fast as your camera do.

I only played it cuz I wanted lore for apex and now I cant even play apex anymore, just seems so slow and battle royale isnt as enjoyable now. Why loot for 10 minutes, die, rinse, repeat? @@rushernate2601 most people play attrition (Standard titanfall) or pilots v pilots (Which is just titanfall without titanfalls) Some other popular modes are Capture the flag, titanbrawl, and the money one (I forgot the name). But to get in matches the fastest, just queue for attrition, it takes 2 minutes max to find a match (at least in north america)

The issue with holos in Titanfall is that there's no risk to picking wrong unless ur in cqc, which u rarely are. 99% of pilots will be able to just shoot the second guy if the first ends up being a Holo and the delay will be basically none due to the ttk being basically instant

I really wish there was more of Titanfall than apex. The battle Royale genre has just gotten so stale in my opinion. I’d rather have a game where you can respawn, and immediately speed back into the fight. I’ve played apex, and I just find TF|2 more enjoyable. But that doesn’t mean that I didn’t enjoy apex, it’s pretty fun as well. I hope respawn can either make a new mode where you can spawn back into the map right after death. (And yeah ik about the respawn beacon) Im praying for a Titanfall 3 in life. Anyway, sorry about my lil argument between apex and TF|2 Here’s a cookie 🍪

Fun fact: Horizons tactical was supposed to work exactly like the gravity star. Before throwing you could select to suck in or shoot out, but respawn decided to make her ult suck in while her tactical shoots outwards. It was also going to have the ability to attach to walls, so you could launch an enemy or friendly legend sideways, but that was scrapped. (Still think that wouldve made her godly in ranked)

How to make a titanfall2 clone that sucks. Take the pilots abiltys and dont add anything cool to them. Break them all apart into useless minor ablitys that have long cooldowns, in a bunch of boring characters. Then force people to play only multiplayer battle royale in teams of 3 with whiny, crying losers that have zero ability to play or care to even try to work as a team. Just yell things at you and make your game miserable till you leave and never return. Off to the land of fun single player games and happiness.

Very true, but to be fair, the purpose of Apex is so much different than TF2 even though technically company-wise it's TF3. Apex was just trying to tackle the hero-BR genre, so concepts such as balancing and the theme/atmosphere are forced to align with BRs. TF2 had the luxury of creating a super interesting campaign with survival and war themes. There weren't any esports, so balancing a fast-paced game wasn't difficult. Apex is forced to align with a diverse tone, hence the diverse hero roster and must appeal to a greater BR audience, hence no dark survival/war vibes. Both are good games for their respective purposes and niches though!
