I love how much of the blade you get. Most utility knives only have approximately 1/3 of the blade exposed. So this is a real Step Up as far as utility knives go. Not to mention the cool Factor of this particular one

I've been daily driving a similar model by exiled cutlery from 2016. I stopped learning flipping before then, but this type of design was just what I needed to legally carry in California while keeping in touch with a hobby I spent many months with. Awesome to know there's a nicer option now, especially with the old model being unobtanium at this point. Will definitely will consider picking one up!

I have two of these exact model I purchased over a year ago from Ali Express. It is a really well made balli. I only wish it wasn't quick change on the blade which is why it has the wiggle/blade play. I'm glad to see your making them available here on the regular.

Isn't the blade retention mechanism an exact clone of exceed designs + others where you push the top to the side to pull the blade out and not have to remove the screws? Otherwise why is there a relief cut down the middle on the back of the blade retention mechanism to allow it to flex out of the way?

Just to clarify for other viewers, there is no copycatting happening here with the blade holder design. Exceed Designs brand is also a customer of the same factory in China that makes our titanium-handle, utility blade knife models. The quick-change, blade-retention design is not a clone - it in fact, was an original design of the manufacturer. This is as common in the knife industry, as it is for grocery stores to sell their own private-label of cereal varieties, even though often times it comes from the same plant. We have heard nothing but high-praise toward anything coming from our factory, both from the products we sell, as well as Exceed's. On our private labeled products, we wouldn't just slap our brand on anything. We go through a lot of quality improvements, revisions and design changes so much that they are not equal to any other products that you see the manufacturer/factory selling anywhere else. We include spare parts and extras, use quality lubes, tune and tweak ours to perfection before we ship them (from our USA stock, for faster delivery).

How is blade length measured in regards to switchblade laws? Tip to handle like usual? Or is this a utility knife first and a balisong second?

All the specs are on the product page: Overall Length: 6.7" inches. Blade Length: 1.5" inches (edged/sharp, exposed portion). Simply pull the blade out, and it's just a trainer... not a switchblade or automatic in places that consider a balisong an auto or gravity knife. We can't offer legal advice for your location... just sharing our two cents in regard to what it really is.

You do not need to take off the screws to change the blade.

Yes, of course. This was a very old initial reaction video to this knife model, and it was later updated in a later video on our channel. It is sometimes easy to overlook this quick change feature due to how they designed it, because from the fronot side you can't really see the lock bar. It works incredibly well, and the screws really only need to be removed for a deeper cleaning.

What is the diameter of the ball bearings? Are they metal cage?
