What a nifty figure. Even as someone who has no connection to the G1 monsterbots, this and the upcoming RiD figure have certainly perked my interest (also that name change is absolutely brilliant and I love it)

I had similar issues with getting the head, and hips respectively but I figured the trick of them out. The head in bot mode you just place in the very front of the cavity were it doesn't socket it, and just slide back into place. It takes almost no force. The dragon hips are a little more tricky, but pretty simple after you have done it once, or twice. you have to twist out the bottom of the hips so they are at a bit of an angle from the body, and the catch goes into place much more smoothly. very little pressure needed to put into place then. I did actually originally have Doublecross, but it was lost to me not by my doings. This was a must have for me as a replacement to Doublecross.

I love it the way it is--as a G1 tribute. The original figures were very blocks in all of their modes, so I'm happy the dragon mode is still lovably so.

it flips up, buy it makes no difference when trasforming. It actually makes it harder to tab in the dragon waist if the robot waist flap is flipped up.

Your issue with the head latch is something I've noted in the Titan Masters I've owned, and it stems from the fact that the Titan Master's itty bitty heads are blocky. My Grax figurine has no troubles wedging his head into the neck sockets because Grax's head is rounded.

I do like this figure and it's nice to see some characters other than OP, Bumblebee, Megs and Starscream getting new molds. Mine has a pretty bad QC issue with that part at the back where the tail pegs in too though. It's a pretty bad issue really, and it's okay for somebody like me who just wants to put it on a shelf and transform it once or twice every few months, but if you were actually buying this for a kid to play with I think they'd be disappointed. The tail is extremely tight and difficult to push together on mine too, yet it still pops open on it's own occasionally - sometimes with enough of a pop to knock the figure over. It's fixable if i whittle the pegs a little bit, but at this price you shouldn't have to repair figures straight out the pack. It should be perfect. It's annoying because TF's aren't cheap and you expect them to function correctly. The tabs for the grey parts on the legs / dragon body don't even remotely come anywhere near being able to tab in properly, to be honest! I predict a shelfwarmer and a mold that won't be re-released. Wish I'd waited until it inevitably gets put on sale somewhere before I'd bought it as well, because I paid £18.99 and it's an £11.99 figure at best in my opinion.

I have this figure, and mine doesn't have all the same issues yours seems to have. The included Titan Master has no problem plugging into the combined gun (though that may vary between other Titan/Prime masters) or the robot's neck socket and the shoulders stay in place just fine. The only shared issue between your figure and mine is the part where the dragon mode's hips don't seem to want to stay in place. Another thing I want to note here is that the dragon mode can't seem to stand on its own unless you fiddle with the legs or use the tail as a third leg because the feet are so tiny compared to the rest of the dragon mode. P.S. for you Proton Jon fans out there, -Doublecross's- Twinferno's Titan Master is an albino anthro Bagel!

Rotate the head on the Titanmaster 180 so that the wide back of the head matches up with wide area of the slot. It will go in a lot easier.

You do know that some of the Titan masters have to have there heads rotated 180 degrees and then put it in the head slot.

The g1 Doublecross has a much better dragon mode. But it suffers from G1 stiffness in Robot mode because they didn't build them very posible back then. It has not torso or leg articulation as far as I know. But aesthetically, it looks better than Twinferno in my opinion.

I had an issue with the Titans Return Hardhead where I tried pull the head when I was about begin transform him vehicle mode I was afraid that was going to break it,when put the head on the figure in robot it felt loose so what I did was turn the Titan Master head 360 & then I put the head on the body.

It has both 5mm peg holes and prehensile mouths. And both are oriented wrong, if you hope to have him hold anything ecxept with his arms outstretched. Which is exactly the problem with gorilla arms. Even worse, there was plenty of room for a swivel, and it would have even improved poseability in beast mode. Which means they were either cheap, lazy, or both.

The headmasters of Twinferno, Repugnus and Grotesque are a little bit based on three characters from the 'Battle Beasts' toyline. Daburu, the headmaster of Twinferno looks like the Battlebeast character White Lion. Dastard, the headmaster of Repugnus looks like the Battlebeast character Hedgehog.
