This song will always have two meanings for me. First, the original play through of OoT on the N64, a glorious game and to this day, one of my favorite Zelda games, I have a TShirt with the logo on it (wearing it as I type this). The second is more somber, and likely more meaningful. My son, Rhysand, was born back in September 2021. He was born over 3 months early and had to spend 4 months in the NICU. A couple of times, I spent in the NICU with him in an enclosed container, and somehow the title theme from Ocarina of Time came to mind. I practically burst into tears humming it to him, but he was my little hero, persisting despite everything he went through. His second Halloween costume EVER was Link from The Legend of Zelda.

I remember feeling something not known to me just yet when the menu screen started and this song played. Years later, I recognized it as nostalgia. I felt nostalgia before having experienced something. And since then, I’ve always looked forward more to the end of things than the beginning. So I can rely and rest on the nostalgia - where things tend to be prettier.

Robin Williams Loved this game series soooo much the tone of this N64 intro music already has kind of a melancholy tune about it to begin with but its both beautiful and so sad reminder when I hear it , that Robin is actually gone , , ,😢 hits me the same way when i hear musicians recreating " Ballad of the Wind Fish" , if you feel empathy the tune just pulls yer heart out and steps on it 🎉😢😮😢😮

8 months late, but i think that this is a songbird ocarina, they have a website where you can buy them from, but it isn't exactly cheap. they also have cheaper options that aren't zelda themed, i bought a bravura alto C many years ago and it sounds delightful
