God is where He's always been, David; on His throne in heaven; He hasn't 'moved' - YOU have --- and far enough away so that you cannot 'see' Him. Your prayer life cannot help but be ineffective under that condition. Scripture is saturated with stories that were written down for US as "examples" and for our "instruction." In the lives of the ancients like Esther, Mordecai, Xerxes, Haman, Ruth, Boaz, Naomi, Abraham, Moses, Joseph, Daniel, Saul/Paul, Job, Jehoshaphat, Elijah, Elisha, Peter, Samson, The Persistent Widow, The Widow of Zarephath, and so many, many more, you see clearly how God worked in THEIR lives! And we know that He is "the same yesterday, tomorrow, and forever;" what He did for them He will do for YOU as well. Bottom line: Keep on SEEKING; He will be found by you!
