Hey there! My name is Francis Cantu. I'm a Christian, wife, and mom of 5 in our big blended family of 7. I'm a stay at home wife to my husband Greg who works in the oilfield industry. I started my channel to share our everyday life and show that being a Christian doesnt mean I live a boring life. in fact my life is fufilling and filled with joy, lots of fun, and plenty of laughter. My husband and I are pretty spontaneous, and love to try new things so I share alot of that here on my channel. with me you never know what your going to get. That's because I'm a woman who is into alot of different things. I love sewing, crocheting, gardening, cooking, baking, fishing, camping, eating healthy, shooting guns, being outdoors, diys, western decor and whatever else I get into. I also have a couple of different series here on my channel such as Blemished where I share what God is walking me through and has walked me through. or Women of Wisdom where other women share their hearts and what the Lord is or has walked them through. I hope you will consider subscribing to my channel and joining my wife tribe. I love making new friends and sisters in Christ, so please leave a comment so we can get to know each other.

Basically, I hear you saying we need a stronger intergenerational networking system within the church. 💕 like a mentor system.
@WifeStuff
@WifeStuff 2 жыл бұрын
Yes alot of churches do have that but it's fewer and fewer. I won't speak for all but alot of the older generation was raised that what happens in your home stays in your home. As if we're going to make God look bad. Or what will other Christians think. But that's just it we do more damage than good to adopt that mentality. We start to do the work of the enemy cause in order to help other we have to share what we know. And for people like me who weren't brought up in a Christian home we don't know where to start. So it's the duty of the older women to come along side the younger women to teach them.

I'm back to comment!!! I was born and raised in the church. My parents were first generation of that religion..so i didn't have a mother that was lead and imparted wisdom. I'm on my own ....I have no mentor and I felt Elizabeth's teachings have helped so much! Useless old ladies in the church...they want easy with the finesse of looking like a blessed old lady. Wheñ i have addressed this I have been told I'm rebellious...but I'm not...if you ask for guidance and they refuse...who is being rebellious to God's Word!? Teach ❤ You are correct

It's so funny that this came up as a topic today in your video I was discussing with one of my extremely close friends Practically my sister, about the setup of my traditional marriage. she was asking me asking me is it something that I do because it's expected is it something that I want is it something where I feel appreciated because it's" archaic" And I was sharing with her how much I admired the woman in my life because they were traditional wives! they took for lack of better words pride in a clean home. they felt that what they were doing was a sincere job they woke up early, they cooked 3 hot meals A-day, homemaking was a craft that meant something to them versus being at home because childcare was more expensive lol

It's truly my belief that tradition marriage is the most fulfilling. Not saying that others are doing it wrong. I just mean I don't go without. I don't feel like I'm missing out. When I had a job with my other kids and had to work a 9 to 5 and then come home and barley spend time with them I felt then like I was missing out. I enjoy every bit of being a wife who stays home. I won't lie and say I'm always happy cause that's just not possible but I will say I'm fulfilled I think we need to go back to normalizing women who want to stay home.

I have said this for years! Yes, we were cheated. I didn't know anything about Titus 2 until I started homeschooling and then started seeking someone to "mentor" me. I still haven't found that woman and both of my children graduated several years ago. Years girl, I mean years! I have tried to be that woman with my daughter and anyone else I could. Thank you for bringing this subject up and also for praying for my family.

I really LOVED this video. And you just don't know how much this helped me. I too wasnt saved when I got married so this submitting to your husband type deal is FOREIGN to me. But living a life of pure mess is not and I'm not going back. I trust God and follow the will he has for me now. God has used all 3 of the examples you have mentioned to hold me to my marriage when I felt like running. And I'm always down to share my story with others to help. I love a good testimony. 💜🙏🏾

I'm so happy I found you through Mama Kat. I am so blessed to be surrounded by godly older women who have mentored and poured into my life from the time I was a child. These women have shown me that it is possible to live a godly life, serve your husband, children and church and have a godly marriage and hands on raise your children in a godly way whether you stay-at-home or work. I just had a conversation with someone last night about this same thing. Society is teaching our daughters that they have to be completely independent and self sufficient, pushing them to pursue degrees and careers and pushing the family unit aside. I'm not saying there's anything in the world wrong with that at all BUT what about the young lady who wants to just make a home and raise a family... The church and family are God's examples of his kingdom on Earth. I've tried to teach my daughters to listen to God, not me or their dad or the world. They don't have to keep up with the world standards they only answer to Him for what they do in this life. I have worked, I have stayed at home, and I have done a combination of both. There have been times I have failed miserably in the example I have set for my own children, but The Holy Spirit will quicken me and I just reset myself. Thank you so much for sharing this, I also truly feel passionate about this and my prayer is that we will rise up and be the example and the mentors that this next generation needs. ❤ P.S. I'm almost 50 and as mind blowing as it is to me, I believe I am of the "older" generation 🤣😬😭

You have taken the words right out of my mouth Im in my early 40s and been married for 15 years and yap no older women to really teach us but today the holy spirit said i want you to influence them for me 😅 I then realised that the older women were also not taught right and kept reliving their wrongs So lets teach the older women to open up about their hurts and pain and let them know they are fogiven by God but they still have the responsibility of teaching us But lets rely on the holy Spirit he will teach us and give us grace to become the titus 2 v3 woman

I absolutely love you and your transparency. You make me giggle but are simultaneously sharing truth that is oh so seriously good! Yes, more personal 1:1 time. We are called to be fisher of men. Discipleship is KEY! God gives the gift of wisdom. We are supposed to be a good steward of that gift and share. My oldest sister is 52 and has been with her husband since she was 14. I love how they pour into my marriage. We would've quit a long time ago if it weren't for their willingness to teach transparently. Sometimes it frustrates me that my MIL has been married for over 40 years and hasn't shared any wisdom. However, God provides inspite of. Anywho, thank you thank you for this video. I love your content and branding!

I would like to add that we should teach our young people about the love of God first, then to love Him first. Meaning, He should be their first love before a spouse. Then pouring that love onto her husband by continuing to walk by faith. I know being an example of this could come with showing forth an ongoing commitment to God’s word by living by it. This way, our young ladies can see first hand the commitments we have before God. Not for fame but recognizing that they need godly direction like we did. Like purity has been a big lesson from God for me and learning to love a man unconditionally. I find I need God to be with me all the time. An active life at the cross and just recognizing God reminds me throughout the day of my commitment to Him and I’m so blessed by the fruit that has come from this! With that, letting them know they are going to be so blessed when they honor and obey God’s word and how God kept us and is the reason that we lived to get this far. Thanks for sharing!

I totally agree. I think it starts with the younger to the older. and back the other way also. its hard to say what the disconnect is but Im thankful there are more women and men stepping up.

What you mentioned reminds me of how a woman can have cares going on in her heart whether she is younger or older. However, the way that God designed us is that He can speak His word to our hearts so we can have an exchange but both younger and older should discern by faith if what is being conveyed is really God’s wisdom or just a desire in that person’s heart that really need to be corrected by God’s word about. I know only God can orchestrate this. For me personally, I have seen some younger ladies apply their parent’s wisdom and succeed but God had to save them and their parents first to walk in His ways. That’s by His own will. No one chooses God. God chooses them.

I was raised in a Christian home, and went to church my entire life. My mom has always been a wonderful example to me, and I’ve been blessed with an older woman who oozes wisdom that I go to frequently for advice. I think a lot of the problem is, the Church in general has gotten off course, and that lack has trickled into all aspects of the Body. Satan will do everything he can to destroy God’s design for family and just cause chaos. Loved this video!

👀👀👀 I see you, I hear you! 😊 This is so good! We need to start somewhere and authenticity about where we are at is key! We are all truly in need of good counsel and wisdom experience. Not surprised that satan has been so crafty to convince Godly women to keep their mouths shut and pretend like they are not struggling. Keeping things in the dark equals death...death of our marriages. 💔

Yes very true. I think the enemy gets a win everything he convinces us that our voice doesn't matter or that people won't change. The older people are instructed to help and teach the younger so that we know and can carry it to the generations after us. But if we taught to keep silent in time of pain and suffering that's all we will do is survive in pain. Jesus came so that we could have life. Although it means eternally. Eternally we shall live with all these people who could have eased suffering here on earth. We are to love Jesus and love people. Not just Jesus. Thanks for watching!

Hey girl! That's so disheartening and encouraging to hear. I made this video a year ago, and it baffles me that this question of where the Titus 2 women are at is still in question. I wonder why they don't feel they can step up? 🤔. I definitely feel that knowing this makes it easier to not want to do the same thing by making excuses. I believe this is a great calling. Thanks for your comment. Blessings to you as well!

@@WifeStuff Amen sis. I feel the conversation is much needed on Titus 2. The Lord told me to stop pursuing law enforcement and now I see why. To be a “keeper of the home” by His grace. I now intentionally have conversations with sisters about this and challenge the “female” pastor narrative and how that error is feeding the excuses to not obey the word of God to women within the boundary of His order and creation roles. Definitely takes humility and denying self. 🕊

A woman's true power is in being gentle, quiet, and submissive to her own husband. Learn about the woman who put ointment on Jesus feet and you'll see the truth. The woman didn't use her words, instead it was her actions and God memorialized her in the bible forever and Jesus said everywhere the gospel is preached there will be a memorial of her preached forever.
