You should, there's a dvd recording of one of the productions, a lot of people in the theatre community hate on it but it's actually great, the most common complain is that it has no plot but it's a spectacul/concept musical, the whole point is focusing on the art of performance itself and general concepts rather than story, so if that sounds appealing to you i recommend buying the 1998 recording

I saw Cats decades ago when people dared not say what a crazy piece of crap it really was. I was young, so I thought maybe I just didn’t get it. Now, I just don’t get how it could appeal to anyone. This bit is all you need to know. Imagine it is like this, but with worse costumes, and it takes itself seriously. The idea that Cats is so ridiculous that it could just be randomly made up is TRUTH, and that the whole thing is like a crazy con on people willing to waste their time to see it is TRUTH. And this is why this bit is such a deep burn and so hilarious at the same time.

And I liked cats but this was funny and I hate the show, I needed to see this. Made me happy!
