Solo road trip to Death Valley on my 2017 Kawasaki Versys X-300. This is the footage from Titus Canyon. This road was the main reason for my trip. It was an amazing ride through these canyons. The Versys did very well off road.

That is one of the best scenery ride videos. The X300 is a great choice for many types of riders and rides. Did you put off road tires on your X300 prior to this ride ? I have a many videos on my KZbin channel of all kinds of upgrades including super beefed up skid plate and lifting the whole bike up in the air on a motorcycle jack, Barkbusters installed the right way, 15 tooth rubber bumpered front sprocket, Dunlop Trailmax Mission tires, lots of electronics including full LED swap out of bike, Soundbomb Split Air Horn installed right, and more to come. Great ride sir - I hope to follow your lead.

For a ride like that , should definitely have some good off road tires and a skid plate at a minimum , riding alone in very hot weather , do you have a plan if you get stranded out there ? Could be a matter of life or death if something goes wrong ?!

Did you install a skid/bash plate? Any issues with the bottom routed exhaust? Looks like a great place to ride!

Ian Brewer Yes, and no issues.

very nice man. I want this bike so bad, looks like a great mc for adventure. I wanted to ask 2 question. Were u using the stock IRC tires here? and does this bike burn oil at all? ty

Addict This bike is perfect for Adventuring. In my opinion. Lighter and less expensive than the usual bikes. Handles Hwy’s and the dirt. I ditched the stock tires immediately. Heidenau K60’s is what I’m using. No issues at all with the engine burning oil. Research Ninja 300’s-same engine.

@@kawikakekoa How do the K60 Scouts fair on the road? Do they make allot of noise or cause the bike to vibrate on the highway?

GonePro28 Surprisingly smooth on road. No noise to speak off either. I love them.

I own this bike and used the stock IRC tires for about 5,000 miles. I recently put Continental Escapes on it, front and back. If I had to do it all over, I would put an IRC on the front and combine it with the Conti Escape in the back. Reason? Having the relatively smooth IRC on the front keeps highway vibration low, especially in the handlebars. The Escape has a bit more tread, so it's nice for the back wheel. I'll see how the Escapes fare in the long run, but for now, I can say that their SLIGHTLY bumpier profile makes for a bit more vibe on the highway. Cool bike, though. Good for light touring.
