I literally have every Jabba figure ever made, and none of them have done anything like this. Since it's difficult to make a Jabba figure turn his head or tilt his body like with normal figures, having alternate parts like these is the only way to really give him some life and emotion. So yeah, for me they are the biggest selling point (although I'm hoping that the seams won't be too obvious).

Someone who loves Jabbas Palace enough to have my own sideshow 1/6 diaoroma, the only question is why? Already have sideshow 1/6 jabbas and throne... why this jabba looks interesting with new interchangeable parts.. the lack of ability to curl the tail like it is in the movies while Jabba is on the throne makes we wonder why? Also where is Jabbas Band? Would rather have the band the rehash Jabba.

I for one don't mind them redoing this set as long as it's improved, since it's been 12 years since the original set and there are a lot of new collectors who would otherwise have to get it on the secondary market -- probably for more than Sideshow is charging for this one. I do kind of agree that they should have included a second tail in a different pose (making the tail actually poseable would likely cause more problems than it would solve). I just don't know where I'm going to put this one, since I already have a large part of my collection room devoted to the original one (and have no intention of getting rid of it).
