TIU E3: Bowl Gouges (3/8", 1/2" and 1/4")

Smashing video, very informative no nonsense advice. One question if you don't mind, on the 60 degree 'bottom feeder' have you ever put a secondary micro bevel on this? I've seen others do it and wondered is there any advantage. Thanks again for the info

Hello Martin. Bowl gouges, are they measured by bar thickness or across the flute? Best regards.

Hi John. Traditionally in the UK (says Les), bowl gouges are measured from the inside of the flute to the outside of the bar on the opposite side of the tool . . . However, they are now often measured across the flute....so 1/8" bowl gouge is often on a 1/2" bar.
