I'm not from Norway but I find it really touching and beautiful how Norwegians love and cherish TIX and just how much he loves his fans. The way he's always so hard at work to make music for the people to cheer them up and brighten their days during these trying times with party songs or make them feel seen and less alone with more personal and serious songs is just so heart-warming and inspiring. I'm very happy that Norway chose TIX and helped us, the rest of the world, to discover his music and his story. Rest assured, dear Norwegians, we'll take good care of TIX/Andreas during the ESC, support him and vote for him as many times as we can With ❤ from Russia

I still can't believe 'Fallen Angel' didn't even make the Top 10 at ESC when TIX is SO hugely talented and ever SO nice... In 45 years of watching the ESC I had *never* felt so strongly about *any* contestants. I have been listening to his music daily since then and discovered that this 'swan' is truly one in a million. I can't thank him enough for ALL he has done, musically and personally, to make the world a much, much better place. Andreas : you are a breath of fresh air... bless you xxx

Oh brilliant! I'm so glad he got this award. I've only just discovered Tix because of Eurovision, and Fallen Angel is an absolutely awesome song. I really hope it wins. I've listened to some of his other tunes, and love them. Check out the making of the video of A thousand tears....it's fantastic. He seems like a thoroughly nice guy, and the fact he raises awareness for mental health issues warms my heart. Well done Andreas x

Explain what was tacky, dont just say it. The way he dresses/looks is how the artist Tix is. His staging has relevance with the song. Maybe you dont see that the demons are chained to him and are trying to pull him in different directions, pull him down..... The song is about not being able to be with the one you love because of mental issues, and through your struggles, you feel you are not good enough. You want your inner demons to release you from the pain they are causing you. He is chained to those demons and cant get away from them. He realize that he have to let the one he loves go because he doesnt want to drag her down in the darkness with him. What do you mean by aesthetically pleasing...explain? Isnt the staging supposed to emphasize or have something with the song, not just be a gimmick?

The angels/demons theme is laughable, and it's so incredibly on the nose that it feels amateurish. Yes, it's great when a performance is a reflection the song itself, but not in this way. This has about the same level of symbolic depth as a film made by first-year film student with an overblown self-image. It's almost childish in how it presents its motifs, and personally I find the whole thing rather off-putting.

That to me makes me think they want the attention away from the song and therefor use gimmicks.Tix always take everyone in consideration, also children. Its easier for children to understand a stageshow that describes the message of a song. Tix has said the message is more important than the song itself, and he doesnt see Eurovision as a competition the same way most others do. He doesnt want things to be too complicated. He has said this about his music: I’m making music for people to connect with, I’m not making music to please the music critics. I want to make songs people understand and can relate to. I'll be the soundtrack to the life of the guy who has been working his ass off all week and is just looking forward to the weekend. I'm there for the girl who has had her heart broken for the first time. I am there for the boy who wants to get out of the closet but does not dare to say it. I am there for all those who feel loneliness and all those who want to get away from loneliness. To get that message out, or to be there for so many different people, things and songs can’t be too complicated. It's a bit like eating pizza with a knife and fork».

This is very much a wrong way, because it all just appear so ridiculous and comedic, which I suspect is not the intent. And I said that I think TIX seems like a nice person and it's good to hear that he's thinking of all categories of his audience, but that does not make the staging any better I'm afraid. Personally I find the song lyrics rather shallow, but whatever floats your boat I guess. But no matter what one thinks of the lyrics, the message is cheapened by the low budget theatre production that is the staging. A friend of mine asked if TIX was Norway's version of Sean Banan from Sweden, and if you know anything of Sean Banan that should tell you how ridiculous TIX comes across with this staging. It's just not good in any way. You keep talking about not liking gimmicks, but I feel this staging is very gimmicky, in a "look at my joke act" kind of way. It honestly baffles me how people can look at it and think it looks good and professional.

We usually dont translate it to english, but it is the Norwegian grammys..Tix won the most prestigious award. There are different categories like «best rock, best pop solo artist, best band, best classical, best newcomer, song of the year etc». He won artist of the year/most inluencial. The award goes to a Norwegian artist or group that has excelled in the past year. The winner is chosen on a free basis by a special jury. Unlike most other prizes under the Norwegian grammy awards, where a professional jury selects a winner based on registered artists, there is a special jury that selects the winner of the «The grammy Artist of the Year» on a free basis. The award also emphasizes artist performance, commercial success and record releases.Previous winners in that category is among others Sigrid, Alan Walker, Astrid S, Kygo, Röyksopp, A-ha..)

I just cant believe that some people couldnt see and hear the relevance between the song and staging. I understood that after the first time I saw it in Norway. The staging emphasized everything. He stood on stage as a fallen angel fighting his inner demons around him. The demons was chained to him and pulling him, The demons symbolized his dark thoughts and to not feel good enough. He wanted those inner demons to release him from the pain they were causing him, so he could love again. He felt the one he loved was way too god for him and he didnt want to drag her downin the darkness with him. Those who thought this was a cliche love song, really didnt get it. He wanted the staging to look like a scene from heaven with all the lights, darkness, and at the end....a sunrise (he wanted to convey that there is a way out of the darkness....or a light at the end of the tunnel, for all people who are struggling with mental health. A fallen angel is someone who is currently going through rough times or has had a bad past (depression, mental issues, bullying, suicide thoughts, abuse, self harm, family issues, ect). A person who has been jaded (exhausted/worn-out) by life but has not let it destroy their inner beauty, their spirit or their compassion. However, they have problems with (avoid) romantic love as they have created walls in their heart that are difficult to breach.»

The subject matter deserved so much better than the comedy act we got. Yes, I'm still calling it a comedy act, because nothing about that staging can be taken seriously. It's laughable and an insult to the audience's intelligence. I kinda feel the lyrics themselves are also a bit shallow, but they are not nearly as bad, and the message behind them could have been really elevated with a sofisticated and intelligent act that played with some much deeper symbolism than the angels/demons we got (I still can't get over how ridiculous and juvenile those were). Your comment really tells me that you're not understanding the criticisms levelled against the staging; the message and the symbolism are obvious! There are some artists that works very hard and changes over time, and there are those who don't and want to be known as what they were and still is. TIX evolved from his graduation music and made music for the people rather than jokes.
