Resinous woody patchouli. Spot on. I have a decant of it from, I don't know, a while ago. I also have a bottle of Ursa from not to long ago. It's the older style bottle I got from MaxA. I also have a Straight to Heaven decant still, and a travel set. I also picked up Tiziana's Laudano Nero from MaxA. Some deal, you know. Oh god do they last forever. I can't spray these up near the neck.

I fully agree with you. They almost never as good as what they „copy“, but almsot always as expensive, so the thought always kreeps up like „Whats the point, longevity?“ Tested like 6 or 7 from TT, never felt the urge to buy a bottle. Great review as per usual! 😁

Definately sample them first... i dont rate them high enough on the list to grab full bottles... but thats just my opinion 🤷‍♂️

Ursa is one of the first frags that got me into "niche" along with Laudano Nero. And I like it. To my nose it's about boozy (rum+nutmeg) patchouli and vanilla tobacco smoke with some suede leather undertones. All in all it's really "wet" if that makes sense, I think that is what makes people think about animalics. To me there is "wet wool/fur" kind of smell, however it does not seem skanky as skank to me is more about civet and similar notes. Beast performance. I have gotten compliments during the drydown phase. You can tell it's TT, same ingredients and style across many of their frags, especially patchouli and woody notes. And as you mention, these notes come out "chemical" sometimes. Not just in URSA but other TT frags as well. Because of that Ursa might come off kind of boring if you have smelled other frags from the house. BTW, people say it's cold weather scent. However I have used it in hot, humid summer weather and I think it works better. It's not as "pungent", more about that light vanilla tobacco leather and less about the patchouli and I like it more. In dry cold weather the patchouli comes overwhelming sometimes. My take on URSA.

Does Ursa project for you? I feel like it projects for 2-3 hours and then becomes a skin scent. Goes away completely from the skin after 7-8 hours.

@@szechuanlechon Yes, projects good for the 2-3 hours, then is more quiet for the next 5 hours, after that becomes a skin scent until you wash it off. And even that don't always work as sometimes I still pick up hints of Ursa after shower and sleep. So for me performance is really good. Some people say that there has been a reformulation in the last couple of years. Can't confirm, but my bottle is from 2018 and some people say that after that it got weaker.

Old opus ,I kinda had a gut feeling about the whole new bottle thing ,it just didn’t feel right and I am not sure I will go there in the future Rams,old bottle style ,packaging .is the library collection as was from the get go ,juice aside man ,that dog won’t hunt period lol ,and I cannot speak for the juice but it all seems,very fishy ( see what I did there 😅)to me .but congrats on the La Rive freebies,and I have it on good authority that they are so pleased with your channel they are sending you their whole line to review,how’s about that ,your a made man Rams haha ha ,hopefully you can contain your excitement hahaha 😅anyways opus V sounds great,good price ,IV is awesome I can attest to that puppy for sure. I only got Laudanan Nero ,from T.T .60 bucks so yeah, I like it and wear it ,not bad at all for 60 cheers mate catch ya later 🙏✌️👍

Opus IV has been reccomended multiple times now... i always knew the free bottles would come soon enough... just didnt think they would be of a 6 dollar drug store fragrance 😂😂😂

I’ve explored the house of Kilian and still have a number of samples leftover as well as one of TT Ursa (and Orion). I didn’t feel I needed to own a bottle of any of them. Black Phantom was probably my fav but is weak and expensive on top of it, and I rarely wear gourmands. To me, Kilian is just another Initio/PdM type of house but even MORE expensive. And while I haven’t had as much experience with TT only sampling two from that house my initial reaction is they’re in that same wheelhouse. I have no interest in further exploration of either or giving them any amount of my hard earned money.

Atelier make great orange, lemon scents. They smell great for 10 min then you can’t smell them. You sound much better. 👍👍. Have a safe weekend.

Great pickup (minus the freebies). I can’t remember if you got your nose on opus 4 or not - worth a sniff if you can sample :) cumin, coriander, cardamom, incense, amber. Awesome Stuff

The Ursa I got was very weak bottle faint scent nothing like lenadano nero that was rich and creamy, Ursa is going back to seller Don't think it's a maceration issue this will be it for this house and blind buying forever lol

Have you tried their Nero oud. They say they use Indian oud and you could smell the herbal medicinal smell typical of Indian oud. They might’ve actually used it.

I don't think they use real oud in Nero Oud. Also they use "white oud" that is technically not real oud. However Nero Oud is really close to Dubhe Assoluto that is much more expensive and should have naturals, or that's what TT says. Who knows what ingredients they use... But anyway, Nero Oud smells close to more expensive stuff, so even if it's not natural it does not matter regarding the scent. A bit overpriced, sure, but if you like the scent profile it's good. Hope this helps

Ursas work reminds me of what Amouage was in the past ..A true artistic unique Beast mode Dna.. Smokey and animalic that screams (I dont care for masses , Im Amouage) Everything ruined in the entire perfumery nowdays.. I only hunt the old ones , sad story..

To be honest I think Amouage women’s line is way better than the men’s line. I always sample the men and women’s. Because I wear what I love, i don’t care if they label it for men or women. But from the dozens of Amouage I’ve sampled, I didn’t like any of the men’s. So I love and own Lyric Woman and I hadn’t smelt the mens at the time. I kept hearing all the hype about how Lyric men is so much better. So i bought it, and nope no way, it’s crap. It’s nowhere near as amazing as the women’s . Ppl need to wear what they love and stop attaching gender to fragrances. I get that some very floral perfumes are sold as female frags but many men love very floral frags . Soo wear what u love. Life is too short to be fragrance bias. Anyway it’s how I feel. I have Ursa and I like it too. Not a love but I like it. I however love Orza. Check it out. It’s a beast. But expensive AF. I suggest a sample .

LA REVE... don't give this to your wife.... It's like a 15$ fragrance... If you want to give your lovely wife a present, and still get smth to review, get her the amazing In Love Again by YSL. Get her the one in the OG bottle with a gold, heart shaped top. A LOVELY, fruity, vegetal scent. LA REVE is scent from a chemists, like british Boots. Don't be cheap dude.
