Hi Sir Enzo. Good day. I've been watching PSBK and been interested with racing just recently. I was just wondering how these races work like how the pointing system works, how one becomes a champion even if they don't win all the races for the day. Is it the same with the international races like MotoGP and the likes? Thank you!

Hi good day! I too am new to PSBK. It’s a 3 day race weekend with friday as practice, Saturday qualifying then sunday is race 1-2. Grid positions on Race 1 is dictated by the QTT results of Saturday. Grid for race 2 is dictated by results of race 1. Per race, depending on your finishing position there are a certain number of points given. These are added up to show the rider’s classification. Depending on their class they will have rankings. Over the season I believe there are 4-6 race weekends making 8-12 races. Like F1 you dont have to attend or finish all races as long as you are the points leader you will be champion of your class. Hope this helps! See you in next years races

Do you really have to shell out if not most, all of the money for your gears, bikes, and all of the stuff you need for maintenance? I've seen some at the expert level class have their own sponsors and I am wondering how one becomes sponsored. Again, thank you for taking the time to reply to my questions even if you are busy.
