This was my SOTD . I agree with your assessment. Good but not great. I just picked it up a couple days ago. I paid $20 so I'm okay with it. I'll get some wear out of it.

Picked this up a couple weeks ago. Reminds me of Gillette shaving cream! Very 90's smelling scent. Its an "ok" fragrance. You should give Prada L'homme water splash a try! very pleasant.

When you said aftershave you nailed it. But its way smoother than aftershave. Reminded me of this blue oldspice (whitewater) that came out way back in the day. It was actually decent.

I bought MB Presence Cool a few months back, & I like it. It’s discontinued from what I understand. Pretty decent buy for the price, & the dry down is pleasant IMO! Nice relaxing evening time scent.

My thoughts on the OG MB Presence - I’m a blind bought the original for a cousin this Christmas and I thought it was really fitting for him. He just turned 18 and he’s into sports. The OG has a classic shower gel vibe to me with that subtle spice and that prominent ginger note you spoke of. I only smelled the initial first spray, but it projected pretty well for a $20 frag. Overall it smelled nice. Basic shower gel with just enough going for it to give it its own personality. I wouldn’t add it to my collection at this point because it was just end up being clutter, but I would purchase it as a gift again.

Maybe my smell is off but it reminds me of De la nuit ysl and savauge edt mixed together. The beginning smells like Gillette but the dry down got more and more like a unique balanced Savauge edt

Have you tried Nikos Sculpture Homme in a while? A 90s classic and my favourite summer cheapie by a long shot. Such a unique and expensive smelling citrus blast with sweetness but is never cloying. Get your hands on some!!!

MB presence cool's been out for awhile, I was thinking it may of been discontinued but then i noticed nordstrom and ross had it.... not to sure whats up with montblancs marketing (starwalker extreme/tonic green??) as for presence cool it's good for the heat, enjoyable but nothing thats going to pull the room
