Fun facts about Estrela, they were the main distributors of Hasbro toys and tabletop games in Brazil until around 2006/2007 when Hasbro themselves took over. However, to this day Estrela has never stopped selling their own versions of some of Hasbro's most famous toys and games (such as Clue and Monopoly) even though they don't pay for their licenses and are competing directly against their official Hasbro counterparts. Needless to say, Estrela has been in a *lot* of legal troubles recently.

There are also G2 versions of the Jumpstarters that were only released in Argentina by a company named Antex. (Not strictly part of Brazil's line, obviously, but Antex licensed Transformers through Estrela instead of directly from Hasbro, so it's related.)

I had one of the Pow-R-Trons when I was little. For decades it was just a mysterious toy from my memory, until just a few years ago when I finally hit upon the right search terms to figure it out. The commercial is even on KZbin. If the internet didn't exist, I'm sure I'd still be clueless.

OMG!! As an Argentino i always wanted to see a video of you about these lines. I have Eletrix Esporte, and yeah it has a wire. But at the same time you made a little mistake: 3:20 , even through that one is indeed Salt-man X, the one you choosed for the image is the one made in my country Argentina by Antex, wich also got the license. You can see the Antex logo in the box and the words are in spanish, not portuguese, but its common to made that mistake since both him and Salt-man Z were made in the same colors in both Argentina and Brazil and with the same names. In my country they even got some G2 versions as Robot-man X and Z with exclusive new colors, and turned into Decepticons. I would love to see you doing a video like this of the Argentinian ones, from both Antex and Comando Toys, this one even have his own "unique Transformer" (Radio AM Robot) since its the only one with license that used the mold, i have seen this one many times and it works as a real radio. Despite what the wiki says, its an oficial Transformer.

I agree with the shout out. I’d love to see some of the Optimus and Malignus bots get proper updates. Of course, that would require a better Earth mode Bumblebee and Cliffjumper, a better Brawn (TR Brawn > 86 Brawn) and Gears and Windcharger, but I can wait until they do so. Also, wouldn’t mind them turning either Scraphook or Strongarm into the Bât-Robo!

The Optimus sound like a bunch of young warriors took the name of someone they admire, and make an army.. like Dumbledore’s army 😅 Brazil is also famous in the tokusatsu fandom cause they had a bunch of dub series, mostly from Super Sentai and Metal Heroes. I made some customs of the Estrela bots using the titans return Bumblebee.. The sonicblue Bumble bee can pass as Carrera tbf.

I still own some of those, electrix do have wires, batrobo have kinda a friction motor, also the factions got named malignus and optimus in the translated g1 comics too and got some pics of those to market ir (odd fact soundwave is called microondas aka microwave on some issues).

The reason that the small mini car transformers and the jumpstarters were released in south America the local economys in that country is because they could not handle the large scale transformers figures si that's why the small mini cars were released because they were less expensive and sold well

A friend moved from Jamaica to Florida in 98 and wanted to trade me two ir three Optimus mini-bots. I would now regard them as Tap-Out, and Gyph. He said he had "Maximals that turned into the gen-1 cars!" I didn't believe him but i did trade! I had them with perfect tires.. so, i used the parts so i could stand my (rare at the time, again circa 97/98) red Bumblebee. I traded them, a Sky-Lynx, and Jetfire minus his gear for some Scout class Predacons like Power-Pinch, Insecticon, and he threw in a Blackarachnia, and bloster pack Terrorsaur. At the time, i loved Beast Wars (still do!) but imagine having them on an obscure shelf? Ugh!

I don't remember Pow-R-Trons being released as GoBots. Wendy's did have a six bot set of GoBots, later released through the Kool-Aid Wacky Warehouse or whatever they called it at the time but they were not the same figures. No motors. I have two of them from the Wendy's period and they're okay for a giveaway figure.

As someone who likes both Rescue Bots and Prime... I don't think it's even fair to compare the two in the first place. Rescue Bots is entirely it's own thing, it's made for little little kids 4 and under. It's great for what it is but if you try to put it up against other Transformers shows that are intended for an older target audience, it's not really going to compare. Prime and Rescue Bots are both good but for very different reasons. If you really want to make comparisons Rescue Bots vs. Rescue Bots Academy or either of the Rescue Bots vs. Go-Bots... not the original Go-Bots from the 80's, the Preschool Go-Bots that only had like 6 episodes. That would be a more fair comparison because they actually have the same target audience.
