Thanks for doing sled videos in the summer.. Us snow freaks can never get enough of a good thing. And it's always fun learning the tricks and Idiosyncrasies of each different type of brand.. Great job on this one as always. Thanx again.

the 500 that came in those had tons of power, gonna fly now! also those sleds are SUPER rare

Not sure about the rare factor. I routinely see them for sale in my area and they typically have a bad engine.

Nice job on the transplant Tom. Sounds like a lot of work to get the engine lined up, but it's necessary. It looks like the drive clutch is awful close to the secondary, but I'm not that familiar with Skidoo. Great to see someone wrenching on sleds during the summer, it helps take your mind off of the heat.

Thanks Ken. I’m waiting for the alignment tool to come in. Wait till you see how much slop / adjustment is built into these sleds. It’s concerning. Lol

That sled must haul balls down the trail!

Is there any way you could make a video on how to adjust your secondary clutch? I can’t find any videos on that style clutch. It would be much appreciated thanks!

Wait, if you have to take the ring gear off to align everything, how do you get the ring back on without screwing up the work you just did?
@StreetersGarage Жыл бұрын
With the ring gear off the clutch and the clutch installed. You do the alignment and lock down the engine mounts so nothing moves. You’ll then remove the clutch again, reinstall the ring gear and install the clutch again. It helps to have a spare clutch without the ring gear as well.

@@StreetersGarage I have the air screw at ona & half turns and the idal screw out at one and a quarter of a turn on the throttle cables are out almost all the way on the top of my carbs

Ok. Take a look at this video. It walks you through the entire process of synchronizing the carbs. Even though it’s a Polaris the principle is the same. Skidoo wants you to set the slide height from the engine side of the carb with a .080 drill. Air screw should be around 1 3/4 and 2 turns. Out from lightly seated. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2jaipysZb53n68si=72c6Pybz6CABxbiJ
