it is not the 126 birthday, it is the the little 6 year old boy. Earlier in the episode 126 rescued him from the roof of his house as he climbed up there because no one came to his birthday party. Also the ice cream workers they also rescued earlier as they got their hands trapped in machinery at work.

Just in case you have not watched the full episode the party at the end is for the the little 6 year old boy. Earlier in the episode 126 rescued him from the roof of his house as he climbed up there because no one came to his birthday party. Also the ice cream workers they also rescued earlier on in the episode as they got their hands trapped in machinery at work. Carlos spends more time with 126 team than with other police officers

@@Slingblade87 My husband calls his father-in-law dad too and his mother-in-law mom- only after being married though. It's more about what the parents want and are comfortable with and your relationship with them, there's no written rules on this. My dad has always been a father figure to a lot of people, my best friend calls my father dad too whereas I call my in-laws by their names (usually their surnames) as they are more formal and less paternal towards anyone who are not their children. If my husband and I were to split up and I know as long as nothing horrific happened between us then my dad and my husband would still continue a relationship. I don't mind as a gay man- I like that my dad has embraced my boyfriends as I have been around too many men who have been shunned by their own dads. I have a friend who calls his father-in-law dad because sadly his own dad threw him out for being gay.

I think they have different cultures there. They dont call their parents in law by honorifics like mom or dad, its just name and wont change
