Facts… he’d pop up on a compilation every once in awhile… make a few funny jokes…. but let’s be honest the 90’s belonged to Martin, Eddie Griffin, Jamie Fox and the kings (Steve, Ced, DL, Bernie). I do remember seeing some of his vhs tapes in Hollywood Video for his stand up back in the day, but honestly he just didn’t have the star power like the others.

This was a good interview segment. Pierre called out his hypocrisy in a nice way. First he said Cedric took him off his own show and he made a business decision to fall back and not do the show. Then 2 minutes later he said "if you put up the money, you can't call the shots". Then said they going to dictate to the agents who they going to put on the show. But the example with Cedric was the direct opposite of what he just said. Cedric and Steve Harvey already have their team who going to go on with them. Then he trying to tell the young comedians to not get an agent. All the superstars had an agent. You can't do that grimey shyt by booking shows behind your Agents back. Thats called Integrity.

Then he also said, about how much money they give up automatically, to their agent. You can do some moves, or SHOULD be able to do some moves without your agent. THAT has nothing to do with integrity, if you can keep on making money and not have to DEPEND on your agent all the time. I'd feel good to not have to give up 20-30%. Plus if you can get up on game and be independent and STILL get paid, like TK? I wouldn't be mad about it.

I like how Pierre provided real insight as to "WHY" Cedric "allegedly did what he did. Aristotle wrote some lecture notes on poetics in which he discussed the basics of comedy. the lecture notes were lost sometime in the middle ages, but hermetical scientists have pieced together some of his theories. likewise, Adam Smith ended up addressing the same topic in Theory of Moral Sentiments. Smith agreed with Aristotle in his Sentiments that sense of humor is based upon character as well as culture. that is, some street guys laugh at different things than some civilians. that's what Pierre means by a comedian bringing a certain "aura" to a show. some comedians attract more unsavory crowds than others. and unsavory crowds have different comedic sensibilities than austere crowds.

I like TK Kirkland. Cedric and a lot of comedians that started with him and some afterwards are much bigger. They richer and more successful. If I am your agent you can't do shows without me. That's a breach of contract. There is not one legendary comedianpqst ,Present or future that doesn't have an agent. The Headliner calls the shots because that's who people are coming to see. You can change Features or openers . If Headliner refuses then the show is canceled. Bad decision not to do Def Jam. Luenell is upset also because she didn't do it. Their agents would have had them on it.

Funny story: I was in this spot in LA I’m talkin late 90‘s. Now in the spot are some known comedians like Jamie foxx along with a few others and tk. They were all cracking jokes then Eddie Murphy walks in as he’s making his way through tk decided he was gonna go in on Eddie. He looked at tk then everyone else and in the most hilarious tone points at him and says “I HHHate this nigga!!!!” Everyone laugh as he continued walking. Later I found out it was a stolen Rolex incident behind that situation 😂✌🏽
