A couple of things to be mindful of, for best cleaning power you should have a pressure washer that produces 1GPM of water flow per 4 inches of concrete surface cleaner. Also, you should never apply pressure to concrete less than a year old. This will leave damage on the concrete that will become more noticeable over time in color variations. Pressure washing is really a misnomer, the name of the game is to use cleaning solutions or other aids to help use the least pressure possible for the job. Let us know if we can be of help in the future. We may even want to sponsor a product for you!

Been using a Simpson deck cleaner from HD for years. When paired up with my 3400 PSI pressure washer it makes light work of cleaning up all the moss and gunk we have in the Pacific NW. As you noted the big advantage of using these deck washers is you get a consistent and efficient application across your entire deck. Finally, if you have some stubborn stains or other stuff on the deck you can try pre-treating it with a cleaner.

i power wash and clean windows for a living. A surface cleaner is what we use to not leave lines and marks on concrete. Also generally most use more GPM to get effective cleaning with one. Most prof use at least 4GPM machine with a surface cleaner to wash houses too. I use a 8.7GPM machine and can use bigger surface cleaners and move a lot faster with the more flow. That flow is the name of the game with moving fast and running 24",28", 36" surface cleaners. Soft washing houses with low pressure and chems is normally done with at least 4GPM. Pre treating that concrete with bleach is what most guys use to treat organic growth first then surface clean and rinse. You do have to use wand for gum, some debris and/or a turbo nozzle for edges but never on houses or alone on concrete.

Andrew first time visitor to your KZbin channel. Great review and presentation. I think I am going to buy this product. I have the Briggs and Stratton (plastic) and it worked one season. Question if you review these. You had soap coming out at first did you pre-soap before pressure washing or was that just left behind from another job you were doing. Also what soap do you recommend for siding?

No soap, must have came up from an earlier oil spill I had with a man lift. Still using this with zero issues. Tried a sweeper, this still works better. Stainless is the way to go.

Surface cleaners work best if you size the nozzles to match the gallons per minute of the pressure washer. If you're pressure washer puts out 2.5 gallons per minute you divide that by 2, then you would install 2 nozzles that are 1.25 gpm each. That's the most efficient both for the pressure washer and the concrete.
@TKCL2 жыл бұрын
I'll look and see if this company sells different size nozzles.

I have worn out a Honda pressure washer and 2 from Lowes. I have a 20x40 pool with 12’ concrete apron, 2 patios and walk ways and front porch area. Had a friend with a trailer pressure washer with heat/steamer do mine and sealed it. Much better now and easier to keep clean. However 500-800 in tinted sealer is $$$. The two circular cleaners I helped him use worked awesome and are time savers. Good review and video, thanks.

The missing part: you showed the condition of the dry porch before washing but you didn't show what the DRY porch looked like AFTER washing. I like to see the visual proof, as I might have different expectations. Also, you cleaned the porch in its worst condition. Hereafter, it'll all be maintenance and even easier and faster. Thanks for the introduction to a tool I didn't even know existed.
@DeansofNomadica2 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't mind having that as my shower head. I'm sure you thought about this but I'll suggest it. Could you match the color of the dried clay footprints and paint the concrete a color similar to the clay color. I know that may sound crazy but let's think about a few things. I'm particular about things being clean and the frequency of me wanting to clean the concrete would put one heck of a strain on the well pump. My dad instilled in me.... never assume that well water is plentiful and well pumps do break and likely at the time the wife's hair is full of shampoo and they also usually run on 220 volts. That clay color reminded me of red cedar colored mulch that looks gorgeous around house's. Fruit for thought. If you ever decide to paint the concrete than most likely it's going to be for commercial use. I was hired to paint a concrete bathhouse at a campground and they bought the paint and they bought regular residential paint by Behr. I warned them about this after I picked up the phone and called Behr directly. They did not listen and disregarded the warnings. Man, I did one heck of a good job on these bathroom and showers. Campground opened and it took less than two weeks on people using the hot water shower head and jetting the paint off in sheets of pieces. The point is.... buy good commercial paint and do the job once!
@TKCL2 жыл бұрын
I've never considered painting it to be honest, only sealing. It's something I would have to look into to see if we would like it.
@DeansofNomadica2 жыл бұрын
@@TKCL I understand what you mean. I guess I'd compare the cost associated with those two options as one way to decide. I don't know for a fact without researching it but my commonsense tells me that paint in most applications is considered a sealer to some degree. If you do decide to paint.... there's a "add-in" product that comes in small bags to add into, say a gallon of paint, and it creates a gripping agency to the finished surface so people don't slip and fall when it's wet because of rain. It's like little flakes and I did use it in those bathroom floors and it works well. Blessings....
