So you have been asking for a equipment discussion and I deliver in this episode. I also talk about my roller packer, probably my most requested piece of equipment. Enjoy!

First and foremost, thank you for showing your tools and sharing your knowledge great video. I have 2 question for you. 1. I own a 2021 John Deere 4044m do you think the 44 HP could pull a disk like yours? 2. Do you mind sharing the basic dimensions of your roller packer?
@TKCL
@TKCL 2 жыл бұрын
Yes it could pull it, but might really struggle in B range. A range shouldn't be a problem. The packer is 6.5 feet wide and around 1ft in diameter. I took 2 100lb propane tanks and welded them together.

Lot of nice equipment. Having a nice shed to keep things out of the weather makes a huge difference on how long the equipment will last for you.

I have just build a spray rig this year out of a 55 gallon drum. It came with an old drum a bent up three point hitch and some bent up Booms. I cut it all apart re-welded and fabricated to my likings. Ordered a bunch of fittings and lines I'm cut off valves with some gauges and a PTO pump. And put it all together in less than a week it works great for spraying peanuts and corn

Just a tip, as i used to spray leases for the oil patch for 13 years, when filling your spray tank, fill it about half with water, then add your chemical, that way it mixes in better. At least that's what i was taught. Thanks for the tour.

Appreciate the tip, with my tank having a recirc feature I'm pretty comfortable it is mixing good.

I use fabric softener for anti foaming agent. Try it
@TKCL
@TKCL 4 жыл бұрын
Great tip, I'll try it. That's definitely cheaper than the anti foam, but I do wonder about the smell on a food plot. Anywhere else wouldn't bother me at all.

Use unscented fabric softener if you think it is a issue.

The Kelley's Country Life In Texas we have orange flavored corn. The deer like it. I don’t think any fragrance would make a difference. You use such a small amount it probably would not make a difference.

I bought a Northstar 4 wheeler sprayer kit from Northern tool and converted it all over for the tractor. The nozzles came with the kit

A 3 row bottom plow would be good for you also. I use mine every year before planting corn. I get the best results by bottom plowing my old corn fields. It really seems to help the soil and it also makes it easier for the disc to break it down. Also what state are you located in?

Three might be a bit tough on my tractor, 2 I could definitely handle. We are in North Central Florida

So I just spilled diesel fuel all over my backhoe seat. This reminded me of the small transfer pump I saw you refueling your tractor with on one of your videos. What kind of pump is that and where did you find it? I enjoy your videos, thanks!

Thanks, click on the Amazon link in all my videos. It takes you to our online store where you will see that transfer pump listed. It's been a life saver for me, no more spilled fuel. If you can't find the link, let me know.
