I know this video is a year old, why do you use get() instead of post() I know you're using it with a spreadsheet but if you were to use over the https request the post() is a much safer and faster option. By first importing the request. Excellent tutorial.

Hello, I have a critique: The example in this video does not specify data that is collected from fields embedded within functions, which seems like a common use case. (Like if someone were to have a a function that creates a new window and a new set of Label, Entry widgets, etc.) How can first_name_entry.get() be accessed if it is defined within a function? I understand you can define them globally and then access them within each function by using "global", but that would be messy. I've tried passing the widgets as arguments in the command attribute, for example command=save_data(f_name_entry, l_name_entry, address_entry) But this only gives me the error: "TypeError: get() takes 1 positional argument but 3 were given"

Yes it is possible to send the information to an SQL DB and excel file. You have to define the Actions which should be executed when Button X is pressed and then call them inside your Button function. So you can do both at the same event.
