*TKO* MANNY PACQUIAO (PHILIPPINES) vs LEHLO LEDWABA (S. AFRICA)

Now guys if ever you had to pick a fight to exist in your archive of classic action-packed boxing fights, this would be a top pick to take up some of that exclusive storage space on your computer.
This fight at the MGM Grand Garden in Las Vegas marks the turning point of an era in world boxing where we were officially introduced to perhaps one of its greatest professional world champions.
Pacquiao at this time, was relatively unknown, in his first fight outside of the Philippines and had not even taken up the well-known moniker of Pacman!
Now even at the beginning, due to lack of familiarity, the commentators struggled to pronounce his name... Pacquiao!
It's quite remarkable to watch Manny Pacquiao in this fight knowing that he would have such a dramatic and dominant impact on the entire sport of boxing, from the amateurs to the pros and even becoming a household name outside boxing circles.
Now his opponent Lehlo Ledwaba had already proven himself to be a fantastic boxer and had fought a few times in the UK and also once in the US before this fight.
It was actually expected for Lehlo to win this fight as a routine defense of his pre-existing IBF Super Bantamweight title. Now during the fight, it must have been a shock to Ledwaba and his team when they witnessed the performance of Pacquiao.
The experience of entering the ring and fighting the greatest professional world champion boxer must be an extremely perplexing one, especially when you and neither your team understood that this was the assignment.
Now guys a quick question... The Pacquiao emerging from this fight and in the next 5 fights is a Super Bantamweight champion. Naoya Inoue is the current undisputed Super Bantamweight champion...

Great fight. Yes Coach Charles Pac man was really young. All they have to do is say Pac-Man. He's a good person and a great fighter. I hope everybody's having a great day or evening. That was a fight that I would love to see. I think the monster wins

Yes I think so also. However I think if Pacquiao remained at Super Bantamweight for longer he would have been even better, as Pacquaio was knocking people out here but most of his popular opponents came as he moved up in weight. So I understand the incentive to move up.

Pac was so fast when he was young that I was unreal. Combined with his relentless aggression, power, and insane workrate, he was one of a kind.

I can't call a winner in Pac vs. the Monster. They are both fast, devastating punchers. Young Pac was faster and has the natural Southpaw advantage, but the Monster, I think, has a better fight IQ than SBW Pac, and is equally dangerous with both hands. Monster may have the edge because he is a next-level counterpuncher and Pac wasn't always defensively responsible when attacking, but the Monster takes shots intentionally to initiate 50/50 exchanges. That may have gotten him hurt against Pac.

Good take... its actually interesting to see that at Super Bantamweight Pac was knocking more people out. once he moved up he had power but more due to the speed of his punching as opposed to the force he applied with it.
