tiny explanation. I'm from the Czech Republic and I think it's all over Europe that the sport, especially football, is taken as a religion. therefore, the police are usually present at every major match because the fans are doing anything for the club, the fans hate each other for someone who does not grow up in who is better if Sparta or Slavia so it is a very difficult understanding

What are ULTRAS? It's a culture, it's a way of life. You life for your team. You learn each chant, each song and sing it at the top of your lungs, every Sunday (or match day). Ultras are those who bring life into the dull stadiums. They create these choreographies and everyone joins in, regardless of being an ultra or not. Not everyone is an ultra. Stadiums in Europa are built in such a way that the ultras sit apart from the rest of the fans, they have their own section in the stadium and prepare each choreography according to the team they're playing against in the next match. I'm from Portugal and I've attended several matches in my time. The classic FC Porto vs SL Benfica is considered one of the biggest rival classics in football. I'm a proud FC Porto ultra. Part of its ultra movement called the Super Dragões (super dragons). We're blue and white and we'll follow FC Porto, to hell and back

In quite a few countries the chantings are songs of protest against government and authorities. Especially in countries where governments seek control. Football attract huge groups of fans by the tens of thousands. Even for a single club. For those who are less allowed to be free, it is a provocation towards. The huge numbers of fans lowers the enthusiasm of government, authorities or police to interfere. Fireworks, chanting insults to whatever comes in mind, etc is possible since the police knows the ultra's will not walk away for a fight. Obviously there are numerous of countries or clubs where fans chanting because they support their club or national team. But in many countries it's a form of protest where authorities can't interfere. Sounds awesome, is awesome but for many it has a more deeper meaning in their fight for freedom. And as long as it sticks to drums, songs and jumps it's just unbelievably impressive if you are among them. NIce to see these videos. There are more of these. Some very explicit and rude, some you wish you were there with them.... Me, I am a AFC AJAX fan and proud member/participant of the orange legion.... The one and only legion known for their long loud and impressive orange parades through cities to reach stadiums and support the Dutch national team... Usually hailed by authorities wherever they play abroad.

It comes down to this: if you arent part or have been part of this lifestyle you'll never fully understand what football is to us. It's about passion, about dedication, about ready to bleed and die for your club at any given time and location, about the hate to rival teams, the friendship among the other supporters of your team, about the mentality and effort. It doesnt matter if you are standing shoulder to shoulder among 30 000+ or 100+, you stand there to defend the colours and emblem of your team, of your city. It's about waking up on monday morning and being ready for the match on saturday or sunday, living up to that moment when the players run up on the pitch, firing up the pyro, rolling down the tifo, chanting songs about your team from the top of your lungs, THAT is what football is to us.

The biggest reason for the fans to be so much diffrent then in the US is history, there are so many big european clubs that are 100+ years old and the fans present at the games today, have been introduced to the club by their farthers. I am from Denmark and my club, Boldklubben FREM was created in 1886, my family (the dads) have been following the club since 1936. It started with my great gandfarther who brought my grandfarther to the games, my grandfarther brought my farther, my farther brought me and today im brinning my son to the home games, my son was 3 years old the first time i brought him. My family has been going to the clubs home games for five generations now, and THAT is why there is such a huge diffrence on european fans vs US fans. My club has been national champions 6 times, but today they play in the 4th best division, but i dont care, i go and support them everytime they are playing at home, why? Because its about passion, history, tradition and love for the club. And no, im not an ULTRA, im just a regular fan, i sing along and i shout and scream and like the rest of the stadium, i know so much more about the rules then the actual judge does ;), the ULTRAS are the onse who are chanting and singing thrughout the game and they also goes to the away games. Ultras are the more hardcore fans the fans who not so hardcore are simply fans. The most time of the video you will see ultras I guess. In Germany, and I think in other European countries too, the fans / ultras walk in a large group through the city to the stadium before the entrance to the stadium and sing the team's chants. Before the game starts (I can only say about the German teams) there is a hymn for the team, it's a song by smaller musicians. Before the game startet (I can only say this for the german teams) their will be a hymne from/for the team, it is an Song made by smaler musicians. In the stadium there is a small section for the fans of the other team, these are fans who travel to games that are not taking place in their team's home stadium. All bigger teams have flags like in the video or which were created by fans for their team. And each team has their own chants to sing along to during the game. The chants and songs are fan made only a few songs (I know this from some german ones) are made by smaler musicians. Every team has one, two or three teams with whom they rival or are enemies and the hatred can be very great. When rival teams play against each other, there is a lot of police on site to protect the fans of the teams from each other and to avoid riots.

Good reaction video did you notice how much the stands moved, I think this demonstrates how much growing America can do, the question is do they want to grow that much lol.

Not always, i know a lot of people supporting different teams from the city where they are born. But got the point, i'm roman, i support as roma, when we won the conference (and it was the conference) the city was soooo crowded, everyone singing, a lot of chaos, i just love this things
@roryslaine78962 жыл бұрын
@@johndonne7293 I get what you're saying, but that's usually in cities where their team is shit. If you're from Rome, you support Roma or Lazio or one of the smaller clubs. You don't support Real Madrid or Barca.
