I put a tangle of hair on my binocular microscope. It's centered on the plate, but I can only see the color (out-of-focus) on the 40 lens (no others) and I can't get it into focus, even with the lens cranked up to 75 and even following these steps. Do you suppose my microscope is faulty/broken?
