Everytime Chilli first makes a first appearance you get the biggest smile on every TLC video. It's the cutest thing! 😅 Yeah those ladies were cute but still down to earth. While the other girl groups were dressed up and trying to be cute and sexy, TLC came out with the baggy clothes doing their own thing and still pulled off being cute and sexy without even trying. Thank you for reacting to this one! 🤎

TLC were just everyday, around the way girls with mad talent. They weren't divas which is why they appealed to so many people. They could dress down or dress up, but their energy always remained the same. Make sure you check out their live performance of this song on the Arsenio Hall show. They always performed the version of this song feat. Left Eye's rap.

This was the 3rd single from their debut album after “Ain’t too proud to beg” and “what about your friends.” They caught a lot of media flack when they first came out because they looked so young singing about sex. But they were college aged by the time they dropped their first album. Their 4th single was a song called “Hat 2 da back.” They were initially supposed to release a song called “Something you wanna know” which featured Left Eye on lead. The song was already getting airplay but the record company was afraid of more controversy because on the track Left Eye rapped “…leave a tip: two quarters and a condom for the waiter….” They forced the group to release “Hat 2 da back” instead, gave them a low budget video and didn’t do anything to promote the song. Left Eye was pissed because “Something you wanna know” was her chance to shine on lead. That special “it” factor you’re sensing was a combination of things. Their confidence, coolness, down to earthiness. But above all, it was their chemistry. They fed off of each other and created an aura that those on the outside long to be a part of. They were unique and approachable in an industry where people are vain and pretentious. The reason why most people can’t explain what it is they love about them is because it wasn’t just one thing. They really were special and special together. Without Left Eye, their balance and chemistry just wasn’t the same. Check out “Touch myself” TBoz’s first solo outing. Also her duet with Da Brat called “Ghetto love.” Left Eye was supposed to return from Honduras to film a video for Toni Braxton’s “Gimme Some.” She died before she had a chance to return. “Gimme Some” is believed to be her last or one of her last studio recordings. Toni didn’t want to capitalize on her death so she didn’t release the song as a single. Opting instead for the songs “Just be a man about it,” “Spanish Guitar,” and “Maybe” as the last 3 singles from her third album.

Don't know if you knew but TLC is the best selling female American group. The spice girls is the best selling female UK group. Spice girls is the best selling female group of all time. TLC is the second best selling female group of all time. Destiny's child is the third best selling female group of all time. TLC holds the title at the best selling female group and so does the spice girls
