Her problem is mainly the emotional side that began her eating and the fact she is more worried about her children then her well being to really pay attention to notice she’s hurting her kids ultimately by hurting herself in this way. People sometimes don’t understand your well-being and your kids well-being is hand in hand they are closely connected. Ultimately she is definitely doing better then most on this show i will give her that.

This episode is over 5 years old. In the "What Happened to them now" episode, she managed to lose weight to get the weight loss surgery. But it wasn't easy..... she was shown to be a heavy smoker, which she had to quit per Dr Now's instructions.... plue her disabled son died.

Well, bed ridden people can’t move themselves out of bed without assistance. On the other hand, those who refuse to move are making a conscious choice not to move due to the excessive obesity & lack of mental motivation. The body follows whatever the brain tells it to do, so if no mental signal is sent out then they’re not moving.

You think that’s responsible? Yea she’s taking care of them, but I’m sure she does stuff on her own time, gets out of bed when she feels like. Not when the kid needs to eat.

This episode was filmed in 2016. Several years later Dottie’s son Daniel died from cerebral palsy. She initially lost about 270 pounds, but after nearly three years, when she started gaining the weight back, she dropped out of the doctor’s program. In 2019 she was also considering divorcing her husband Chris, due to his alcoholism. Later she filed suit against the series’ production company for a variety of reasons, including unpaid medical bills. (Dec 2022)

Wow! Dottie Perkins went on to lose a whopping 21 stone and she looks completely unrecognisable. Sadly, Daniel passed away when he was just 13 but despite this tragedy, she continues to maintain a healthy weight today.

It takes 3,500 additional calories to gain 1 pound and the same number of calories to lose 1 pound. If this lady cuts 30,000 calories a day to 5,000 a day she will easily lose 40 pounds in a month. But the truth is, it is what she is choosing to eat. Did you see the couple picking out green vegetables? Lean chicken and fish they would cook for themselves?

I had to lose a few hundred pounds once. So I put the baby in the stroller and took the 3-year-old with his little tricycle and we walked the same huge circle in the neighborhood every single day. Ate nice chicken, salads lot of fruit vegetables and as time progressed I did it I went down to 143 lb unfortunately I put some back on almost 100 of those pounds. I took that off with the walking and now I stay steady at about 160 à and now I'm such a senior citizen that's fine with me LOL but you're a beautiful beautiful young lady with two young boys and a great husband so my advice is to start walking and every week you'll go a little bit further and keep going a little bit further as you can. God bless you sweetheart and I hope you'll be able to do this believe in yourself because I believe in you❤

She's got to be miserable. Cut out, or limit the potatoes= carbs). Eliminate soda, drink water instead. Eliminate sugar and artificial sweeteners = German Chocolate cakes. Unfortunately all the healthy foods are rediculously expensive, and the unhealthy foods are a tad more affordable. I It would be so much safer to do this on your own, avoiding potentially dangerous surgery. Hubby has to stop enabling (if he is), instead... be a loving coach. The entire family would benefit, from transitioning to a a new, permanent lifestyle of heart healthy, or diabetic meal planning for life... My heart goes out to you, for such struggles. 🙏
