So if you mess up, they’ll only know if you make it obvious. And she didn’t. I can’t believe her mom said that to her. And she truly is being too hard on her. She’s only a little girl. When my daughter was little she was beautiful and I admit feeling such pride in her all the time. People would stop us when we were out and remark on her looks. It never went past there, never even thought about showing her off like this, making her into some sex object for money or pride or “my” self esteem. I never wanted her to think her looks or personality made her better than anyone else and she never, to this day, has. I don't watch many of these videos because to me, only my opinion, this is as close to legalized child porn as you can get. Do their moms and dads not realize that their baby girls end up on sites geared to pedophiles and predators for sick dirty old (and young) men to watch while doing god knows what? If they do realize, is what they get out of this still worth it? I think most parents would perish at the thought of their children being thought about in these terms. I'm sure what I've said will garner comments from the pageant supporters but when they are laying in bed at night not sleeping, I hope they think about it, wonder how many perverts are abusing the images of their sweet girls, the ones they dress up like sexy women, for money and fame, in beds across the world right now.

Competition isn't inherently bad, but teaching them that their worth is in being pretty and performing for others, never being allowed to express actual emotion, all while pursuing mother dearest's elusive love, that's bleak. To me, competition should be "losing isn't the end of the world, and winning isn't something to rub in others' faces", not parents piling on the pressure. The parents consider themselves to win in dressing up and training a pretty little dolly, rather than encouraging their kids in something that they like.
@MLMLW Жыл бұрын
While I agree with what you are saying these pageants can be used for good as well and it's up to the parents to let their daughters know that the pageant is for fun and that if they lose it's not because they're not pretty, not smart, or not talented. If done correctly, these pageants can teach girls about how to win & lose gracefully and how to handle competition because life is all about competition sometimes.

These babies should NOT be paraded around in full makeup, hair extensions, and grown up outfits. This is sickening.

This is sickening. Putting makeup on 6 year old girls to make them look 22 years old! And prance them around for attention! These mother's should be in jail!
