Great to see there's still some content creators left covering this. I've really struggled with trying to decipher the patch notes, so I'm on the lookout for builds!

I followed a "pro build" in game and am zooming through t7, the only thing is i take longer to kill bosses/rares than clearing the whole map.

It's crazy because a lot of the POE creators play TLI, not surprising due the very similar gearing and skills almost all POE style.

Worth noting that way more skills could be on the same level as Ring of Ice because the base damage numbers got way buffed on most spells (but not RoI) Personally I think ice lances will have significantly more single target, with slightly worse clear.

I do think a lot of spells can match or exceed Ring of Ice's single target, but most can't come close on clear. Chain Lightning with Frozen Lightning is the only thing that comes to mind, Cold damage + AoE is just one hell of a combo for clearing while providing solid single target.

I will league start with Gemma 2 Howling Gale since i can have something like 20-25 channeling stack with not much investisment and since the new Howling Gale buff give +21% additionnal damage per channeling stack and since they fix the bug where hit frequence per channeling stack was not fonctionning this will be a insane skill.

while elapse and mind control is a good starter i dont think it has enough damage for T8s as a starter, while you can get to T8s pretty fast you might get stuck boss rushing T7s for 2-3 days till you get currency(some classes wont have this problem and will probably ease into T8s) it also got a 20% or so nerf... its OUTSTANDING and Immortal as a 2nd build tho

Question about spacetime elapse youga. I specd into the Reap Purification node and I’m still currently using flame jet as I’m leveling still, but mind control is my main skill. If I set it to auto channel, does it still count as “using main skill” for purposes of Reap Purification?

Thanks for this very informative video. It will certainly help a lot. Quick question. If I want to start a secondary character, can that be done for free?? Or do I have to pay to unlock the creation of another character??

You can start a second character for free.

I feel I must be doing something wrong then, because when I click the tab to start a secondary character, it carries me to a screen with various paying options. None of which allows me to make a new character for free. So I can't start the new Seasonal campaign or a secondary character to experience a different style of gameplay mechanic. Can you guide me thru this? Point me in the right direction???

You're probably trying to start a paid character. There are several free hero traits available to everyone immediately (Anger Rehan, Youga illusion, Moto order calling etc). The newest is tied to the battlepass (Erika Lightning Shadow). The battlepass also unlocks all other characters for the duration of the season. The others are available for $15 OR 100 Hero tokens earned through gameplay.

​@@Tenkiei - Fair point. I was trying to start the Barbarian class Rehan, and eventually tried all the others in the lineup. All to no avail. It has to be something I am doing wrong, because I went back and tried all different permutations of choosing a new character, but it carries me to the screen where I can preview, or buy. Nothing to show me how to start for free. I will continue trying and see what happens. Thanks for taking the time to reply and help. I appreciate it. UPDATE - I got thru man. Thanks for all your help. What I was doing wrong was trying to start the characters, with the NEW outfit that the game gives you. I only realised when you said Anger Rehan. The character comes with two costume options, and I was trying to start it with the new one and not the original. I got thru when I chose the latter. Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

What are your thoughts on a erika 1 build ? been itching to play her , but wasnt sure of her kit and what to do with it other than you mentioning thunder slash on your overview

almost every attack skill and ballista build are viable with her, meta would be like usual berserking blade, thunder slash, arrow ballista, dagger ballista, and ultra late game (because need ton of stuff) thunder spike is a skill i love but glasscanon.

What was used in the last season and pre-season was mainly sentry build, stacking hp and energy shield, then turning a portion of hp into energy shield via amulet dream affix and wearing Cicada armour to boost dmg based on energy shield. Another popular but fairly expensive was armour-stacking shadow strike (whatever is the lightning one called) build where you want to change physical into fire into lightning into erosion dmg, utilising ele dmg auras in the way. But with all the changes I have no clue how viable it is this season. Erika 2 seems to be less complex to build in a similar way this season, but without armour-stacking, I fear.

Youga - Illusion and Rehan - Anger are always available to everyone. Youga - Elapse, Moto - Charge Calling, Rosa - High Court Chariot and Gemma - Frostbitten Heart you either unlock by having the battlepass, paying $15 or earning 100 Hero Tokens through gameplay/events.

As a returnung player im between the train/frostbite gemma spellburst/mindcontrol youga, in your opinion wich one of those will have an easy access to t8 maps?

I think all 3 will have easy access to T8 maps. If you've played one of the 3 in the past I'd go with that since comfort is a big thing in terms of efficiency.

no damage pet are litteraly useless no one use them, its all about loot pet but you can play without it, yeah its a lot of damage or loot but not having them will not make you feel bad other than giving you some jealousy maybe ?

This game was good when it was first lunch. Now there are too many mechanics that I don't understand what is going on anymore. All I was asking fast paced easy to play grinding game 😅

I think with arpgs it's good to have a rotation. I'm currently going Last Epoch to PoE to Torchlight, that way I can expect to spend about 3-6 weeks in each per season
