I think most drivers will really enjoy these changes. Taming down that initial steer is going to help a lot of racers. Pleased that center diff is now included in the kit. I'm most surprised the battery mount changed. The TLR rubber band was iconic!

I just found your channel about 2 weeks ago and I love it! I just ordered my 22x-4 elite and bought the schelle bearings set, I’m excited to get it built but it’ll take me a while but watching your videos has taught me a ton and already saved me money! I have previously built a Losi 8eight t 2.0 about 8 years ago lol! Rc is amazing to me because I see older people like myself racing alongside teenagers, like there’s no age limit! Keep it up man, you rock!

Wow great work Ryan! I found your channel a couple weeks ago and am going through your videos. I had to get out of the hobby a few years ago and am able now to jump back in. I started back in the mid ‘80s… first car was from Traxxas “The Cat” a 2wd buggy that I actually had to assemble. 2nd one was a Tamiya Monster Beetle. Good times for sure. Possible idea for you is to do a video on retro cars and trucks, just a thought. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the new video Ryan, I built my original 22x-4 similar to yours, ans i find it really aggressive in the steering, I was going to ask how to tame it down a bit? This new kit is definitely on my list to get now. Just for a suggestion for a video, you and Kenny should race your old 22x-4 and your new one in a side by side-by-side maybe practice day. Keep up the great videos, you have helped my racing so much, I still consider myself a rookie. Just started last year

Do a 2wd stock racing weight test for kits and components. Lightest 17.5 motors, lightest esc with enough amps, lightest servo with enough power, lightest wiring, lightest receivers, lightest fans, overall weight test of the major brand kits... This video may exist somewhere, but I can't find it. Shaving weight with carbon and titanium parts is nice and all but it's specific to every make and model, shouldn't the starting point be the weight of the major components and the car itself?

The last 4wd Losi i remember seeing was the belt drive XX/XXX hybrid that Losi made (apparently the last of the belt drives). kind of sad to see that design fade away. I always liked belts over shafts if dirt could be kept out of it
@ad23322 жыл бұрын
Schumacher Cat cars are still belt driven, the L1 Evo is probably one of the most popular 4wd’s in the UK
@crazylarryjr2 жыл бұрын
@@ad2332 I know there are some, just saying i always liked the Losi design, be it the one belt or the three belt designs and even the hybrid of the XX/XXX that used the XX belt layout with the XXX suspension. I just like a little diversity in competition, which is an oxymoron i know. Eventually every design looks like every other, but it's fun till they find it

Hey Ryan hope all is well ! Question Getting ready to run carpet course with my TLR 22 4.0 buggy any advice for setup changes i was running this car on clay at my local track Leisure Hours and won the Rookie Race Day there with it. Just picked up the JC concepts Fuzz Bites for this buggy and rebuilt my shocks being car sat for a year now... cant find many setup ideas for carpet for this car. And the Fuzz Bite pre glued tires for the rear look like they are small for the drive shaft wear the nut mates with the rim and tire. Almost need a washer or bigger 12mm hex looking for setup advice. Thanx in advanced for any advice where this 4.0 platform i think is getting dated already !

I’m a bit upset, I purchased my 22x just about a week before the elite was introduced. Last I check not even TLR had the pre order or sneak peak of the hop ups available. All the sponsored and factory drivers have been running it. I could care less about the extra holes on the carbon, or fan placements but I flipped my whole program from Schumacher to losi because I still race my TC xxxs on carpet and asphalt. I hate that losi doesn’t own a touring car. My opinion the triple Xs is still the best single belt tc on the road. Which lead me to off road. I was just about to complete my x4 hybrid clay/ carpet build when the elite hit the market. I’ve now shelved it and will run my wheeler shue in Ohio this season. I am disappointed in Tlr, and horizon as my hybrid kit isn’t even a month old. I’m way beyond disappointed. I may just sell my slider, my dc elite, my triple xs and go back to other brands. My start came from the pans in 89. I’m just so upset that I’ll give up my dc/ elite and shelf my x4 over this intro that I sank money into just as the elite popped up. Tlr and horizon and now team powers should retro the new season buyers and user the center diff, Ackerman, 3.0s, carbons,light weight bodyband a set of wheels. Maybe even the upgraded pills. I love your channel but horizon, Tlr, and the Dakota setup should be retro to us all who stood in line the past 2-3 months for our x4’s
