Afnan NOT ONLY INTENSE vs Club de Nuit Intense Man LIMITED EDITION PARFUM | Fragrance Review Battle

I've commented here once already, but to add.. I'm presently in Thailand on holiday in 34 degree heat, and I'm using both of these fragrances. However, the CDNIM Ltd Edition in this environment is next to useless. Thirty minutes after it's applied, it fades away entirely and no trace of it remains. AFNAN Supremacy, on the other hand, performs as well as ever and gains a great deal of attention from the many pretty ladies I've been fortunate enough to meet here. Really, there's only one winner in this comparison and it's not CDNIM.

Agree with everything you said. AFNAN Supremacy can barely be washed off, and is still detectable on your skin and/or clothing days later. Moreover, it smells fantastic. CDNIM fades more quickly - but it too smells so good it's hard to choose a favourite. The burnt pineapple really sets CDNIM apart, and it's this that is its ace card. Hoping for the best of both worlds I tried layering the two, but the AFNAN soon dominates and the burnt pineapple note from CDNIM is overpowered. Go for the AFNAN Supremacy (..for its performance) if you can only afford one.

Perhaps layering in a 1:3 ratio might do the trick. I have CDNIM Edp and Afnan Not only intense. I spray SNOI 2 times and CDNIM Edp 6 times. I also don't layer them on top of each other on skin & clothes; but rather spray them next to each other on skin and clothes. I Get amazing results.

Purchased NOT ONLY INTENSE since seeing your 6/11 review, already have limited Edition. Both are just awesome, but in a slightly different way. I could not pick a best....Also have the Pure Parfum version and it's very much like limited Edition both pretty smooth after dry down. BTW, It's great being a grown up, many many years ago, I sat in front of a pizza joint I love yet wanting tacos from a great place across the street trying to decide which I wanted. Then it hit me...You're a grown a$$ man....So I got both, so that's my suggestion. Get Both!

afnan smells better to me and has garnered me much more compliments .. I think people are tired of the creed smell and Afnan veers away from creed just enough to be its own scent in its own right and not a clone easiest way to decide is if a) u want a exact creed clone with good strength then go with armaf or b) u want a creed like smell but has its own unique twist that makes it different from creed With beast mode strength go with afnan

The commentary was spot on. Longevity, projection, overall performance is eternal with Afnan Supremacy Not Only Intense, in my experience. Lasts 2 days on clothes and 13 hours on skin. Projects well. About the scent: in my experience, smelling it up close right after spraying it made me feel kinda overwhelmed, tense and even a little nauseous because it's very thick, dense and highly concentrated. It feels like smelling a full jar of highly concentrated blackcurrant jam. But because it's so concentrated, it smells absolutely divine in the air. Majority of the people that'll smell it in the air around you will go bananas and you will get compliments. It's a mass pleaser in the air. The waves of projection in the air off of the skin is just out of this world. Also, the late dry down is heavenly. How I wish there was a fragrance with the same scent whilst having an overall light/airy/transparent feel and texture to it kind of like an aquatic/ watery note added to the existing note breakdown. That'd make smelling it up close a divine experience. It'd hamper the longevity a little. But it'd be worth it, imo.

Pretty interesting that both bottles and color scheme are identical. Afnan supremacy not only intense just for me, is the better choice. Literally was turnin heads at the demo derby the other night. It has more of a Hacivat feel which I like better. Both are just amazing. Been waiting for this and didn’t disappoint. I own both and it’s you win all around if you have both. Not redundant at all. Unreal review, I have them both and everything that you have said is spot on Ross. Two great releases in my opinion and so worth it to own each one. Honestly, just the original Silver Supremacy has gotten me compliments after compliments! My wife Loves the New Club de Nuit Limited Edition Parfum as do I. Great price points on each, with great performance and longevity along with a wonderful scent profile too. It’s nice to see fragrances that cover every aspect that buyer’s look for, and both are at an affordable price to top it all off. I am very happy with my acquisition of these stellar fragrances.

Thx for the breakdown. For me, it’s all about that creamy, musky dry down that I get from the CDNIM line up. Honestly, it’s the best dry down, in the air, of any fragrance I own. I’m surprised that aspect isn’t more of a focus. The female reviewers of the CDNIM line always mention that the dry down is “game over” good.

@@yusuff7_ I use both way too much (going to buy backup bottles of both) weather it be work or date night with my lady. I do 4-6 sprays 1 behind each ear, 1 behind the neck, 1 in front of the neck then 1 on each shoulder (clothed). It’ll get you a few compliments from the opposite sex as well.

I recently found that spraying Not Only Intense twice behind each ear and twice on clothes is where it’s at for me (It could be the fact that the atomizer seems to spray a wide, light mist in my experience).

Aventus Creed, boy do I despice this fragrance. It isn't my favourite Creed fragrance, that would be Bois du Portugal. Yet I must have had at least 13 bottles of Aventus since 2010. It used to be the most versatile 'weapon' in my arsenal, even though I had better frags from better frag houses. I always came back to Aventus, I could wear it all year. Now to the clones, I really never knew these 'clones' ever existed till bout 2 years ago. Only bought the real deal, I always despiced clones and who ever bought and wore them. Then I discovered Club de Nuit. Karma 🤣. Club de Nuit, I never liked the eau de toilette. Too wild for me, may be in my younger days perhaps I would have liked it. IMO the Pure Parfum and Limited Edition come close to what my favourite Aventus smelt like. But if I had to choose, I would choose the Pure Parfum because it's the closest thing to 2010-2012 Aventus. Afnan Not only Intense. Now that's another MONSTER. I'm actually wearing it now. No, I'll correct myself. I'm actually in its bubble. It's a freaking monster. Not only Intense is in a league by itself. If only Afnan had added just a tad of Frankincense to it. It doesn't smell like Aventus, it smells like itself. Middle Eastern. Boy do I love it. Kinda takes me through vistas of by-gone times. I could have sworn it's a fragrance from Amouage in the early 2000s. Afnan Not only Intense isn't just better than all three Club de Nuit, it's superior to Aventus Creed. Yes I said it. Not only Intense is dark, mysterious, majestic, smoky and that's me. I'm wearing this monster all year. I can pull that off 😉. It's not what you wear but how you wear it. But I keep asking myself how such a classy frag can be so cheap? It costs a fifth of my cheapest Amouage or Clive Christian fragrance. Now figure that out.

What is the closet clone or any perfume to the original creed Aventus 2010 in your opinion since you have been using creed Aventus since 2010? I have been a big fan of the aroma of creed Aventus 2010, 2011, and 2012 only? Any body knows which perfume even if it’s higher end or expensive or a clone that smells like creed Aventus 2010-2012? Please let me know as I have been looking for that masterpiece but still could not find since 2013 although I have tried many clones and perfumes that people claim to be similar to creed Aventus, but I could not find one in my realistic opinion and observation. Man that's so interesting about the Afnan -- I have Supremacy in Heaven and it's a blackcurrant bomb as well! Intense blackcurrant all the way through, probably the most realistic blackcurrant I've ever smelled in any fragrance. Great stuff.

Great breakdown! I would say your sticker was a mix-up as my sticker says Extrait De Parfum. Haven't tried CDNIM LE Parfum, but really diggin Afnan Supremacy NOI.

I own CDNIM LE and my view is the opening is toned down so you won't get the harsh lemon pledge smell for long after that you'll get a better drydown which is 98.9 percent Aventus. Longevity isn't bad. I haven't tried Supremacy Intense because I own too many Aventus like fragrances. I might get a sample but I'm through with the Aventus DNA.

Closest Aventus clone would be the LE, but the better of the 2 overall goes to NOI. NOI is of slightly better quality, and a much better performer. This is not to knock the LE because it's honestly a pleasure to wear and the dry down is something else! But NOI impresses from the very first spray, and right till the end. Buy both IMO it's absolutely worth it 👌🏾

It’s crazy how skin chemistry makes such a difference. I have the opposite experience where CDNIM pushes hard off my skin and FOREVER. Afnan NOI is ok on projection for a bit but is not detectable after maybe 4 hours and I don’t care as much for the scent. The smoke in Afnan smells more like a cigarette or maybe cigar smoke. I’d just say if you get one and it doesn’t blow your socks off get the other. I also get excellent performance with the CDNIM EDT as well. Also as for bottle presentation hands down goes Afnan NOI. It’s a pretty slick design as far as middle eastern’s go.

Had both (as commented below the other video), comparison is pretty much spot on. Nothing to add really. Eventually I came back to the good old CDNIM EDT just for that ethereal airiness contrasting the birchy smokiness, no other quality can make it up for me.

@@saitaro right now I'm testing CDNIM perfume oil and it seems to be the most fruity. Then in order: CDNIM EDT, Afnan Supremacy NOI, CDNIM Parfum LE. Take note though your experience may vary. I've seen people on fragrantica claiming they've gone through multiple bottles of CDNIM EDT and each was different.

​@@saitaro everyone understands 'quality' differently so in the end it's up to you to try. I can see why NOI is regarded as 'higher quality' as it's denser and deeper than CDNIM EDT. I still prefer Armaf. NOI has a strong fruity side yes, but it's a dark side. Coupled with strong earthy oakmoss and saffron, overall I don't perceive it as 'fruity' as CDNIM EDT or Explorer. These two are close btw, main difference being lack of smoke in Explorer but added akigalawood (patchouli).

I have afnan noi, al haramain L'adventure, CDNIM LE and if I have to choose only one I'd get the Afnan NOI no contest. The smell gets better as it sits on your skin compared to the two, projects better and the longevity is unmatched. If you want creed aventus Afnan NOI is the best you can buy imo.

I would have to agree and disagree. I wear the EDT to events like a dinner where I need 3-4 good solid hours of performance as it drys down and then another good 2 hours of that dry down fragrance. For a longer day, I also prefer the supremacy that intense. However, I would recommend the EDT be bought first simply because it does have a much friendlier fragrance that stands alone. I keep both in my rotation.

Got Afnan S-NOI few days ago. Man, this is a totally beast mode stuff, lasting WHOLE DAY in cold weather, but scent- profile- wise, I'd call them a draw. No need to pick a winner, just own them both, spray moderately but generously AND take a bow to Creed Aventus (i'd prob not spend another dime in this fragc)

It’s a tough call. Afnan has a wonderful mid-note thing that I just love and it lasts for more than an hour before it dries down. CDIM can’t touch it IMO. When it is completely dried down I really get a lot of Ambroxan…a lot. That’s where CDIM is better for me. They are both very good and you couldn’t go wrong with either.

I just received the Silver and the opening is nice but then the fragrance just falls off a cliff and disappears. It’s weaker than I expected. I just ordered the Afnan Not Only Intense for 41 euros. I haven’t tried the CDIM. Last month I picked up Loewe Esencia EDP Elixir. Have you tried it? It seems like a smoother mix version of Aventus on steroids. The longevity is 12hrs + on my skin.

I think there are some weak batches of CDNI LE floating around. So be careful guys! Mine had longevity of 3 hours before disappearing as if it never were. I ordered from a place that allows returns. I preferred the LE but I had to go with Supremacy. Somehow not feeling bad about it at all 😅 It attempts a little bit of Hacivat too!

Great video, as always. I must have watched it 3 times before buying one of these Afnan bottles. Unfortunately, though, the performance of mine is lacking. I have probably 6 variations of these Aventus and Hacivat interpretations and this Afnan is probably performing the worst of them. I saw more people complaying about this on Fragrantica. The smell that comes at the 2h-2,5h mark with club de nuit limited edition is just mindblowing. It's not comparable to anything. It's a clean balanced perfect smell that wraps around your mind. One time I got goose bumps smelling it. A real smell orgasm like listening to extremely good music. It's not too much but right at the border where you are not 100% there and you somehow follow the smell with your mind. I also have nishane hacivat which can be very good too but still one league under club de nuit and unfortunately depending on the daily form it can a bit too much. I that case it smells not so clean but more like there is some "smelling noise". Creed aventus is also in my arsenal or a small sample more so and I don't know it's good but like nishane one league under club de nuit

OK, got Afnan NOI yesterday and my thoughts are: it's good and POTENT af. Unbelievably strong, one spray - and whole room gets filled with the smell. Sprayed my hands 3 times once I got the fragrance - 1 minute and I'm nose blind, 10 minutes and I got a headache. Will never do this mistake again, one spray is almost too much. Not sure if it feels more natural than CDNIM EDT to me just because of the nose blindness during the comparison trial lol

So people say that the Afnan reverse macerates after a few months, meaning the scent changes and is not as good, the performance dies down and so on. Would love to hear if that's the case a few months from now. As always, great video.

Hey bro, gotta drop something that may interest you. If you are still a fan of that in your face lemon opening of the EDT you may wanna check out the EDP. I have both and I love em equally for different reasons. The EDT does seem to project just slightly better than the EDP but the EDP is smoother overall. I'd also say that the smokiness in both is equally present, but my nose says that it jumps out more in the mid of the EDT yet, in the EDP, it seems to hold back more into the drydown. Btw, you got me wanting to buy both of these new ones now so I'm just gonna bill you for em! LOL!

@@jhoncena7632 ive had CDNIM (finished it)and Alharamian laventure knight (finished it) and i now i currently have Afnan and i can say afnan is better. The opening is not harsh or synthetic (like cdnim) and the longevity and sillage is waaay better than alharamain. It’s strong too! CDNIM intense is too. Made the mistake of over spraying afnan the first day i got it, i went nose blind and when i got to the office, people kept saying it smells like a perfume shop in here. Got more compliments off CDNIM though

Got them both, but i prefere CDNIM-LE over the Afnan Supremacy NOI, the problem is i don’t get those many hours on any of them btw it’s late winter here. I wrote an email to Afnan asking if they reformulated it, and they wrote they have not changing anything since it came out 🤔 Btw, great review as always, and regards from Sweden 👍

​@@770Noe it's really smoky and leathery In mid note, which I thought it was the dry down.. for real the top and mid note last much longer than you think before it sets into base note The mid is really smoky leathery and last long maybe like 3-5 hours before coming into the base.. the mid smelled bitter armpit ashtray kinda like but much much better And the base smelled sweet but not overly sweet, airy and smoky when Ur body heated up, leathery when in cooler temp

Same here Explorer just doesn’t perform at all, I only get compliments in the first hour and 10+ sprays I went with the CDNIM LE and it performs way better

I'm assuming you meant to say "the same manufacturers"? If so, I haven't the slightest clue. Armaf is Sterling. I don't remember who makes Afnan. I'm nowhere near the bottles currently. I'm sure a google search can answer your inquiry though. Thanks for checking out the video
