So nice to see someone walk their talk for so many decades. Apparently, her spiritual experience at age 15 was truly life-changing.

A nice lie to herself... Seek Jesus!... Prudence is not very prudent!... Sit quietly and let Satan enter your innocent mind... No man on earth is Holy; we are all sinners! ... Meet the new world; same as the old world... Wouldn't you think with all the TM people around the world there should be world peace by now? What? Silence is golden? Am I to have flowers blooming out of my ears?... Ah, a thousand points of light... This gal is really scary... Maybe I could have loved Prudence when I was a teen... but I am so glad I never met a woman like her at that time or I would have gone off the cliff with such a woman...

You can believe in Jesus and practice TM. The two go together quite well and many people , including clergy, do both

@@sharynloshakoff5404 Nothing in my Baptist faith tells me I can't practice TM. So, yes, I know I can practice TM if I want, but Jesus does things better.

@@stryker1195 it’s not a competition - one is not better, just different. Religion ( any religion) is based on faith, belief. TM is based on experience. Having both-- faith and experience- makes life more fulfilling and with both faith and experience you’re living 200% of life. Have a wonderful day.

Well this certainly isn’t a TM teacher’s introductory talk, though she says she’s teaching TM. She never refers to The Maharishi and she doesn’t act like she is working within the movement. Over the years there have been many renegade TM teachers - trained by the Maharishi but choosing to work outside the movement. This is fine if you don’t mind that they have broken an oath not to do that. Also the introductory talk in which TM teachers are trained is crystal clear and she is rambling incoherently. Really if you want to understand TM the only sensible thing to do is read Maharishi’s two books. The Commentary on the Baghdad Gita has been republished and is an absolute must for anyone trying to understand consciousness and the role of meditation in individual m raising of levels of consciousness

Prudence comes from a time where the SRM or Spiritual regeneration movement was in charge of the TM movement . These people had carte blanche from Maharishi and those that became teachers after this time did not. A short list of the early teachers - Charlie Lutes Ed Koch Jerry Jarvis and many others whose names i have forgotten . The language in the introductory lectures was more open to individual interpretation . Around 1970 and on, the system became much more regimented . the intro and follow up lectures were memorized almost word for word . A man at a lecture in 1973 in Spain asked Maharishi why Charlie Lutes , the head of SRM was allowed to speak in different terms that the current teachers . Maharishi laughed and said , avoiding the question, " Charlie does as he pleases " . Meaning that's how it was when the movement first came to America .

I was initiated by SRM in 1968. I spent a lot of time with Maharishi in the early years Bad decisions were made in Maharishis movement about how to organize and teach. Ì quit TM in 2019 after 51 years checking made no difference. SRM. Respected the individual. It was better. Ever since the siďhis came. The ability to think for ones self disappeared we traded a deluded sense of ecstacy and well bèing for each our own personal Reality and truth. Or sew it seams 😊

@@knguthrie5456 yes I met a few people from that time - Joy Benson for example who I think I’m right in saying donated the house in Primrose Hill which was the SRM’s HQ in Britain. I don’t think enough respect has ever been shown to Maharishi’s purpose in coming to the West: right from the start he was prevented from implementing many ways of teaching and what was taught. Opportunistic millionaires took control of the movement and established numerous ways by which money could be made by members particularly those who had passed TTC. If everyone had allowed themselves to be Maharishi’s followers instead of constantly sticking their own oars in we would have gained world peace by now instead of being on the brink of nuclear war. The author of this post must surely realise that her ways are completely obsolescent and it is still possible to be ruthless with TM teachers by simply taking the basic course and other courses and then having nothing more to do with this phoney movement
