A 270 is Actually a very small tip with high grain,so its super fast and ideal for long distances... If you use the max grain,you can shoot up to 500-600 meters😁

if the series does well you might also consider The Hunter: Call of the Wild it's a superior hunting sim that you can commonly pick up for 5$ on Steam you'll probably want the ATV DLC though, because walking around the map is tedious

.270 is the caliber. It’s kind of a mid-range hunting round, better for smaller big game animals like deer and ram. It works for elk as well, obviously. I don’t know exactly how the weapons are graded in this game as far as what is good for what animal, but .30-06 is likely a very good choice for all sorts of big game. It’s used in real life for everything from whitetail deer to Alaskan brown bear, pretty much any North American big game. I would think it would be good for bear and probably moose as well. Also, each animal in this game is put in an age bracket: young, adult, or mature. The elk you mounted was an adult, which isn’t bad. Mature animals, however, are the trophy class animals, if I’m not mistaken. The ram and boar you shot were both mature. Finally, I would highly recommend theHunter: Call of the Wild, as it is an amazing hunting game. I will warn you, however, that game has a massive learning curve. You can go quite some time without getting anything interesting, but you will see a lot more animals than in this game. Learning how the need zones work, when specific species will be in specific zones, finding where those zones are, it can all take some time. There are plenty of videos on KZbin that explain everything and make the process much easier, but you still have to spend some time in-game before you really get the hang of it. And if you do get it, I would recommend getting the following DLCs: weapon pack 1 (has a .22 rifle that is good for rabbits and ducks), a trophy lodge (there are two; I recommend Saseka Safari, but Spring Creek Manor is good, too; these allow you to display taxidermized animals), Yukon Valley (this is a map pack; the map itself and the animals on it are nice, but the .300 rifle that you get with it is also really good for larger game), and Vurhonga Savannah (this is an African map; very easy to hunt due to the fact that it is largely wide open, and the species are awesome, especially the lion and cape buffalo).
