Great trip with your son. I did a lot of backpacking with my sons when they were in Boy Scouts. Including two trecks at Philmont, 12 days of backpacking in northern New Mexico. Stunning. But more important, quality time with my sons and other great people.

Epic views as usual Al. Having a special time with your lad and the rest of the crew. Alps are great aren't they? Had a great weeks walking in the Austrian Alps a couple years ago. Great weather, great views, and even the Mrs sort of enjoyed it too, not being an avid walker. Got her up to the top of Kitzsteinhorn 3000 meters, albeit with the help of a couple of ski lifts. Thanks for the variety of footage in this one, I'd love to do the tour du mont blanc but I guess it's the accommodation that pushes the cost up compared to other treks I've done. Worth it though for the scenery. Stunning.

Yes the cost is in the refuges and hotels which are all dinner bed and breakfast. Also the transfers at the start and end and one in the middle and the guide. It all makes for a non stressed experience. Just turn up, hike and take in the views with other lovely people. 👌

I went to Chamonix about 9 years ago and hiked gran paradiso. What an experience, watching this brought back so many memories and a longing to go back and see more

I completed the TMB and lucky enough to accend MB back in Sep 81, so thank you for providing a nostalgic revisit for me. I have loads of photos, but your drone footage shows views I'd never seen. There was none of the crowds then and only a few people along the route and at the refuge stops, no booking required, just turn up and no problem for a meal and a bed for the night. The walkway shown on Day 3 didn't exist, just a pretty hairy walk along a ledge with a rope hand rail secured to the rock face!! Great video as always Allen. Thanks again 👍😃

I’ve done the Kepler Track in NZ which was definitely epic. I think you can stay in huts along the way and do it in 3 days. Me and my brother ran it in 7 hours which was torture😂

No but I’d love to climb Mont Blanc. It’s almost impossible to book in the refuges unless you go through a company like Adventure Base. Maybe next summer😬

It can be booked unguided through ‘Adventure Base’ who organise all the refuges, hotels and transfers etc and give you a map and full information. I loved the fact it was guided as I could just sit back and enjoy it without thinking 😬

It's great being able to get outdoors with family, or even meet new people to treat as family.. my channel was started so my grandkids, who love coming camping and doing outdoors adventures with me can see what I do when they are not with me . They got me to start the channel , it's all for them, they may even be in front of the camera soon. I hope so , I hope it gets them out more.
