Been thinking about getting a cheapo car too since the constant wind has pretty much killed flying for months. Interested to see how you get on with it!

Successfully converted to elrs with new esc and steering servo. Range for days and more precision on the throttle and steering. Ws on 500mw seems to be doing ok, considering it's on the ground. I'll upload something soon.

I swapped out the esc last night after recording this video and it worked. I now have control with my T20. No steering yet as Im still waiting for the replacement servo to arrive. I'm using a matek pwm elrs Rx so that'll give me a few spare RC channels to maybe put some pan and tilt action to work. All of this is probably overkill for the type of car I'm using (maybe a 1:10 scale would be better suited), but we have to start somewhere.

​@@onclefly8450had it out over 200m across some playing fields then some footpath driving around some buildings. Los it was probably driving quite slowly, but from the fpv seat it felt fast and adventurous. It was windy today so this gave mey fpv fix.
