OK just to let our American cousins know what they have seen there OK? at 10.26 behind T-Mez Tom gets buried. at 11.00 it is clearer, look behind T-Mez and they finally caught Tom and smashed him the fence and 55 rides up on his roof and his bonnet. His race is over after being being punted twice already against the fence as well and surviving those. And now this....the end. 12.00 the only lady finalist is hurt so drivers have to sit still even though they would like a to work on their cars. Rob Speak the circuit owner (Kojak wannabee) comes over about 10 times world Champ and brutal in his day (8xF2 and 2xF1). 13.00 Tom had some huge luck. Next to T-Mez (out of view) in the big pile up, the whole track was closed by cars so because it was inside 3-laps there is a full restart. One more lap and it would have been an 'Indian File' restart with 3-laps gone. All non-runners towed away. Lucky Tom. 13.00 Look at Tom's car. Pan rod is buckled, rear inside wheel smashed (had to be sawed off to get to the wheel nuts), bent steering column, brakes buckled so will drive with a spongy brake, Pan rod set by eye 'to clear the side bar only as I'm going to be put in the fence again for sure!'. Roof buckled, bonnet buckled. 19.00 lap down Joe Booth 446 passes T-Mez 21.00 Tom hits one onto T-Mez to get 2 for 1! (Tom is #1 but has '12' on the back). 21.15 Frankie Wainman (515) in second place gets T-Mez too and is now after Tom with 3 to go! 21.41 you see the starting marshall in white with the board 'last lap'. 21.50 On the last bend Frankie is as they would say in Las Vegas; "all in everything in the middle"! Tom cleverly passes the energy onto Joe Booth and even then all three smash the fence. It's smart to hit it 'side on'. all three bounce out. 22.00 Tom has just crossed the line and won....and spins! T-Mez we loved you and we want to see you back some day! You had so much to learn and you did it all with positivity!

Absolutely fantastic to see someone as well known as yourself come and race in our sport and help show it to other people. I thought you did really well just trying to survive. The contact is a lot here but it’s all for the fans. The world championship is the biggest race of the year because drivers spend all year trying to qualify for it, so not a easy event to even get into. In a normal race our champions and top drivers start at the back and the slower drivers start at the front so you cheer you favourite drivers on making there way through the pack. Also we love American oval racing here, I always stay up late to watch sprint cars every weekend as it’s on early hours here.

The drivers race for points in every race in every meeting ...the top six drivers in the sport (at the top of the points table) have flashing lights.. they always start at the back of every race ..(Unless it is a championship race).... So at a normal meeting they have to always make their way to the front during the races to score points and maintain their status at 'Suoerstar' grade and keep their flashing lights
