One of the things I really like about your videos is that I always learn something new about the technical side of race cars.

I,,, fold over the first tear off,to protect the visor, and put every other one on opposite sides, that way it easy to get them off in the heat of the race, right, thanks BigAl

circle city is a nice place at least as far as the stands and buildings go, the track well for a long time was full of stones and quite dusty though they put new dirt in so I am not sure how its doing compaired to how was, wish it was like super banked or a bit longer though its indy after all there are many wishes I have though, like for a long dirt track in indy again since the state fair went away, but cant complain too much at least they are still running weekly and just put in the new micro and kart track inside, might be the last track we see in the north half of indiana for quite some time if not ever we are just loosing too much land and too much development forcing out, like we need more cookie cutter houseing additions and their pretentious home owners associations, we could use a few more tracks and keep up the farming as we got the world to feed and natural beauty to maintain. circle city though usually goes away kind of fast

Years ago... 85ish ... Gary Forsburg, Andy's dad, won at Calistoga on 7 cylinders. Had a good laugh with him .. he was happy it wasn't the typical heavy track that night. Non wing races only there back in the day...

Like how you're getting more into explaining detuning. I don't think people realize how much you detune the engine, especially in Non wing. I know the first night I ran a non wing car at Waynesfield for someone. They didn't have the right headers or anything to detune it. So they zip tied a small piece of wood under the pedal, just to make sure I didn't go full throttle. At the time before then I only had mini sprint experience. It limited me a little bit on when I needed the power, but most the time it wasn't that big of a difference and probably saved me a couple times from blowing the tires off the thing. I know people are even more surprised to hear when Ricky Lewis wins or does really good with a 360. I don't know if he had the 360 or 410 in for this show, but I know he's won earlier in June at circle city with a 360 and won multiple Boss Shows last year with a 360.

You did a fantastic job with the throttle control. You can really see how much you had to wait on the car to even use the throttle. Did you even turn the motor 7,800?

Back in the day we made blocks to go on the front arms to keep good arm angle... (like block sliders)

Can't you kill power by changing gears?
@Desperado95525 ай бұрын
Not really. If you go to a taller gear it would kill the car on entry and exit. Lower gear you will just buzz the tires more. Like TMEZ said in the video about the only thing you can do is restrict fuel or air flow.
