I head canon that Drew is half-Cuban and curses in Spanish more often than English, which is why he does so in the video. (My Mom nor Abuela ever taught me Spanish for some reason, so sorry if it sounds weird or something. Idk. Spanish class doesn't teach curse words, lol.) I also head canon that he calls people racist when they clearly aren't being racist just to win arguments. 💀

I have to disagree on that one, at least for Hailey’s case. She’s called Drew out on his insecurity more than once already and could literally smell the daddy issues. She acknowledges that Drew also has issues and feelings but knows that it doesn’t justify his cruelty and bullying. Idk about Zander though but I like to believe that he can also tell that Drew has issues but lashes out in forms of bullying. But Zander knows that it’s no excuse and doesn’t entertain the idea of Drew hurting inside. In episode 2 we see Zander lashing out and bring an ass towards Jake but at the end he apologizes VERY maturely while still keeping his pride, that’s something I LOVE about Zander, is that he can admit he’s wrong easily while remaining classy and not being embarrassed or ashamed or anything. The reason I’m mentioning this is because it shows that he understands lashing out at people because of angry/sad thoughts but he, unlike Drew, matured from it. A really big difference between The Music Club and the Jomies is that TMC matured though their angst stuff while the Jomies are still in the messed up mindset and are just looking for a release. I know this has been REALLY long and stupid and I kinda went off topic I just love to psycho analyze things like this! ;w;

@rickyjuice6840 That's a fair opinion. I interpreted it as Hailey just saying, "It's the only way you know how to deal with your daddy issues" because it's a common comeback for bullies. I don't think that she actually thought that Drew has daddy issues (which I definitely think he does) because I don't think that she would say it like that if she did, though the more I think about it, the more she can be a bitch sometimes (not saying it isn't deserved, but still!). Regardless, I don't think that she really believed it, and was just trying to annoy him, not actually upset him that much. Also, Zander does apologize kind of maturly in episode 2, but he doesn't really change how he acts around Jake much. He was a little less hostile, but still. An apology doesn't mean much if you don't change. I don't think that the club actually understands why the jomies bully them even after Jake joins. Hailey says that they bully them just because of their interests, which is clearly not true. Drew didn't care that Jake liked singing. It was never about that, and Hailey saying that's why they bully them shows that she doesn't actually understand why they bully her. To be honest, I think that Drew and probably Zoey are the only ones that actually know why, lol. Btw, I'm not trying to condone their actions. Bullying is never okay. I agree that the music club is better with dealing with conflicts, but they're still not great either. For example, Milly literally beats people up because she has anger issues, and she only stopped because Jake blackmailed Zoey to stop bullying Milly. She never actually matured. I completely understand getting mad at bullies, I have anger issues myself, but I hate how it was in the series. Another example is that the music club wouldn't listen to Jake after hearing the audio. Again, I completely understand being mad about that, but communication is very important while dealing with conflict. There are other examples, but I've already been rambling enough, lol. So yes, the music club is better at dealing with conflict, but barely. They both suck at it, lol. This is just my interpretation. I like rambling about stuff like this, lol. :)

@@Simplyatiredfrog I actually have three theories about why Drew bullies them and I REALLY don’t think it’s just cause of their interest cause honestly that’s a stupid reason, Drew is too well of a written bully for THAT to be his only motive. My first theory is that Drew actually USED to play an instrument but was really bad at it and couldn’t perfect it, I can see it as him either wanting to play or his parents forcing him cause rich parents tend to over achieve their kids as it’s a common trope but both possibilities make sense to me. And maybe after failing he gave up and hate it but seeing the music club perfecting music seemingly with ease he sees it like they’re freaks for enjoying doing something so “torturous”. My second theory is that he’s simply lashing out about his issues on the club and he’s just using the music thing as a fake excuse. My third theory is that he actually sees a bit of his younger self on Hailey (scared, insecure, introverted, etc) and he hated how he was in the past so he bullies her (notice how the bullying is mainly targeted towards only Hailey while the rest of the club gets almost nothing) cause it’s his twisted way of “toughening her up” which worked in a sense. Nonetheless bullying is wrong and as much as I LOVE Drew (he’s my second favorite) he honestly deserves the things said and done to him. And honestly the club had every right not to hear Jake out after the audio, imagine a close friend of yours you opened up to, who used to bully you but you’ve seen how much they’ve changed, say these horrible things about you, weaponizing your biggest fear and insecurity while talking badly about you to the people who’s made you miserable throughout all of school. That’s DEVASTATING I couldn’t imagine what Hailey could’ve thought at that moment, she and Milly were straight up sobbing! And I 100% understand Zander having such bad trust issues. Like you said about Drew having his own issues which can explain (though not justify) his action, same applies to the club, especially Zander. Sorry that was long, I hope you know I’m not hating on your video cause I genuinely REALLY enjoyed it! Keep up the good work and thanks for giving your opinion cause I love to know what others think about things I’m also interested in ^^

I consider myself white because I was raised relatively traditionally American in America and am predominantly white, but I look pretty Cuban for only being a quarter Cuban (especially my hair), so I get asked what my ethnicity is kinda often which is always awkward to answer because I'm white, lol. I also don't want to create inaccurate representation because while I am partially Cuban, I wasn't really raised that way even though I've lived with my grandmother since I was seven. So I try to balance making representation but not acting like I actually know what I'm talking about because I don't really. Idk. I'm rambling, sorry, lol. T-T
