Long shot that this will ever be seen by the two of you but I have to shoot my shot. First, I started watching the two of you as well as Hannah and Tyler back in 2008 while I was in college. Weirdly enough I had just moved to California from the south to go to college and my mom got diagnosed with breast cancer and y’all’s videos always comforted me and honestly- cracked me up. Fast forward years later I’ve always kept up with you in different ways, and then the pod came out. Amazing!! I had been slacking on KZbin but now I could listen to my old friends on the go. I loved it. Never miss an episode! Keep that shit up, ladies. Now, I hate to say but years later my mom has lost her battle to breast cancer and now grace has been diagnosed. And I have been following her story on KZbin and rooting for you on the podcast on my way to work. I just wanted to say watching your videos brings me so much comfort. I feel like maybe even though I can’t be a part of my mom’s little cheer squad in the chemo room, at least I can be part of yours. I also have been DYING to write in because I am currently working in st. Helena, ca- and mamrie probably rode than damn wine train right past my work 😂. If you’re ever hungry on the weekend stop by farmstead- I’d love to buy you a margarita. Shameless plug 🤷🏼♀️😎 Anyway, I love you ladies. More than I could say. Sorry if this is so weird, but I just finished grace’s youtube video where she said if you have someone on your mind, reach out to them. And I’ve been meaning to, so here we are! Cheers, merry Christmas. I hope your recovery is going so well! ☺️

As someone who worked a front booth, I hated pay it forwards so much. It makes it more complicated and easy to mix up, so stressful. The customers were so happy and felt good about it, but it just made my life harder. Part of my job was to keep the line moving as fast as possible, and what happened with Mamrie's brain short circuiting would happen with everyone, so the line would move soo slow, as people proclaimed, pondered, and/or delighted. I hated to shit on people's good times, but it was very much not a good time for me. People would feel too guilty to break it, so it just.. wouldn't stop. An alternative I didn't mind was "heres 5$ for someone whos struggling to come up with it", to be doled out at my discretion. If you must.

@joshisacommonname I'm sorry but yes it does if the company you buy from invests in a genocide. If you give money to someone and they use that money to do evil things and you, knowing that, continue to give them money then you are supporting evil. It's a completely different case if you don't know! So I hope she doesn't know. Again, I love this podcast and these women. I've watched them since I was a kid. I'm not trying to villify Mamrie, just expressing my hopes.

There is no ethical consumption in capitalism. All you are doing is convincing yourself that you are doing something good. Your dollar bills have no impact on their investment decisions.
@megsmagoo723111 ай бұрын
@@josh.00000but you see- it absolutely does have something to do with us all. If we boycott chains that are directly funded by Israel as well as their blatant pro Israel stance on the war itself (it is not just a ‘conflict’- it’s a fucking genocide)- then we are doing our part to help the people of Palestine. What you’ve said is incredibly ignorant.
@josh.0000011 ай бұрын
@@megsmagoo7231 You can do all the virtue signaling you need to do in order to make yourself feel better. When you boycott something like this, the only one who will know anything about it is you. boycotting starbucks IS helping for one, and all these people are kindly spreading awareness. There's also a lot of easy ways to support Palestine, like using filters on tiktok that help to donate to the cause, so I'm certain most people who care enough to leave a comment are also doing things like that.
