Cutting Big Trees With The TMK 400 // TMK Tree Shear

I have some interest in the purchase of a shear of this size, to go on a Komatsu 200LC-8. Im looking at several different brands. My question is, how big of a hardwood will this unit shear. Thank you! Don

Hi Don! Great to hear you looking into these. Our TMK 400 is rated at 350mm on hardwood officially, but it is so dependant on the tree. You also need to have proper pressure and flow to achieve these results (depending of course on the cylinder you might choose). Hope this answers your question! DO you have a product for a mini excavator/medium size backhoe for pruning trees, say up to 4" in diameter?

Hi Robin! At the moment we only make tree shears, but you never know! Maybe in the future.

TMK 400 is for 10-30 ton excavators.

Well, I wouldn’t recommend it. The TMK 400 by itself weighs 620kg + the bracket. And considering you would probably like to cut up to 400mm trees, and those size trees weigh so much. Why are you considering TMK 400 and not the TMK 300 for example? 🙂 -Jesse
