I have all of the TokyoPop and Kodansha Omnibus Tokyo Mew Mew books. I also have two Tokyo Mew Mew books that are hardcover in mint condition. I really should start a channel like yours. Tokyo Mew Mew has been my favorite anime and manga since I was a small child.

Finally got Kodansha's omnibus editions of the manga last month and I am so glad I did. They're such a breath of fresh air compared to TokyoPop's version, and it makes me happy to own a translation closer to the original Japanese since less is lost that way. (Although I do own the first two volumes of the manga in Japanese too, I can't exactly read it, sadly ^^; )

What are the chances these new translation choices will be applied to the old volumes in reprint? Doesn't a company usually agree on the terms before translation?

The villians in the sequel is boring... 8:46- Come to think of it, why wasn't she introduced. 10:55- Holy crap, they went to Disneyland! Yeah, they definitely should turn it into an Anime! : D

Ringo wasn't introduced because this was all she was in and, even then, she only had a few lines. She only had a proper introduction in the Playstation game. She was never in the main story of the manga, so there wasn't really a need to talk about her character.

A few years ago (back around 2010-2011) I checked out the Tokyo Mew Mew A la mode series and I noticed that the copy of volume 2 had repeated pages in the last part of the book. Do you acknowledge that in your video?

My copies of A la Mode didn't have that issue. Although, I had the first printings (buying when they first came out). Seeing as you checked it about 5 - 6 years after it came out, you most likely was looking at a 2nd printed edition. TokyoPop has been known to make similar mistakes with their 2nd printings of manga. For the first TMM series, they accidentally put in pages from a totally different manga in their 2nd printing of volume 6.

if kodansha refers to duke as female then duke must be female

+Star UniversePines Not necessarily. Kodansha still made small mistakes in their translation. The fact that most Japanese sites refer to Duke as male is also a bit weird. I personally think Duke's gender was suppose to remain a mystery since the Japanese manga kept using gender neutral pronouns.
