@@thomasgoesnostalgic Marvel legends are the only figures I really collect. But I loved TMNT growing up ever since the first movie and the original action figures were great (wish I still had them). My son loves the cartoons of it now. We read lots of comics too, so anything Marvel or DC related we like.

Looking cool so far! I know what it’s like to have no space to display figures haha. I always end up having to make dioramas almost out of necessity. Can’t wait to see the final piece, so far it looks great with those round openings!

Hey there and thank you for watching! Honestly, getting started is easy you just gotta try working on one. I started with the TMNT sewer lair first and while It was time consuming, was a great first project because most of the detail not being difficult. Start with a simple project first so you get a feel for working with foam. All materials are generally pretty inexpensive but you’ll have to start spending a little on some upfront cost. Foam, paint, and brushes are all pretty cheap I would say. Good luck!!!

Did you only use the spray paint? I saw acrylic paint on your station. Also did you use clear coat?

Only spray painted the walls. I used to use spray paint on the ground portion but realized it made the figures stick so I only use acrylics paints where the figures feet will go. For clear coat, I use mod podge and I also used to do this for walls and floors but now only the walls to avoid figure feet sticking. I think the only thing spray painted on this one is the walls. There’s something about the burnt amber and the brown spray paint. They mix very well which gives a nice contrast to the shade of brick in the cartoon

What foam did you use

I used a mixture of foam core (from dollar tree) 2 inch insulation foam found on amazon, and 1inch and 1/2 inch insulation foam found at Home Depot
