I’m still forever grateful for the writers not turning this into Apritello 2.0, but making Aprilnardo cute and funny together. That’s how healthy ships should be, keeping boundaries and the chemistry instead of making it a creepy unrequited obsession or not giving it proper development like TMNT 2012. (This is coming from a Apritello shipper growing up. 💀) Although I definitely love April as more “found family” in ost incarnations and I don’t usually tap into the Aprilnardo ship in general for most TMNT adaptations, Mutant Mayhem did a pretty good job.
